You have a typo there. "Improved" is not spelled r-u-i-n-e-d.

Seriously. I mean, after reading this comic, can you *not* play FFI without choosing Fighter, Thief, Red Mage, and Black Mage and laughing the whole way through?

Yeah. I didn't think so.

Thanks to this comic, I might try out the "4 White Mages" challenge in near future. I mean, sure, I will get more Game Overs than Fighter got stabs in the head, but I will enjoy it!

As long as you take the same approach to Game Overs as Fighter has towards being stabbed in the head (i.e., shrugging it off / not noticing it at all), you'll be fine.

I don't really have anything to add that hasn't been said already. Thank you, Brian.

Carteeg_Struve will become famous soon enough. Eventually. Maybe.

As another newcomer (2 years almost), I also want to thank Brian for the entertainment. It is a fantastic collection.

I can't wait for a prequel series that completely ruins and destroys my view of this world. Whether it is done with unrealistic up-to-date (for 2030) special effects as 2048-Bit Theater or as a more proper 1-Bit Theater (starring PONG!), I wait to see.

I've been reading ever since a cranky smelly mage and a plucky young warrior decided to go to the village of Corneria.

Damn what a ride!

Been reading since almost the very beginning of the strip - about when the voting out of white mage was happening. It's been and remained my favourite webcomic ever since. I still and always will go through the archives at random points and laugh every single goddamn time.

It's sad that there'll never be another webcomic I'll enjoy as much as 8-bit, but it had to end some time. Thanks Brian, you horrible human being, for everything.

Haha, even to the very end Brian jerks us around. :P

'Epilogue to be posted some time in the future maybe'. I wonder how many people would stop checking the site for updates if there was a 100% guarantee that no new episodes would ever be posted. I know I still keep checking each Saturday.

But yes, thank you for all the comics even if the carrot is still being dangled in front of us.

More to the point, "I'm not sure what some of you are looking for in more pages, but I can just about promise you won't find it in anything I have to add." I wonder how many people would have gotten this far had he posted that warning when he started 8BT like he should have.

Seriously though, it's been a great ride, and while I didn't start reading it until about 4 years ago, catching up really helped me get though a deployment.

I also want to you thank you Brian, for the work that you've put into a comic that I've spent literally years of my life following. This comic made a lot of days better throughout high school and college; and when I enlisted in the Army and was going through BCT/AIT I felt better by counting the number of 8bit episodes that I was going to get to read as soon as they let us have internet back.

So thank you very much again for all the good years!
