Basically with the setup as it is...

A: Renny is in group with Lola. He uses technique. Both of them have to pay 50 rage points
B: Renny is in group and Lola is NOT with him. He spends 50 rage points and gets same effect because according to your rule, the cost doesn't change if she isn't available.

Proposed idea.
A: Renny is in group and Lola is not with him. Spends 50 points and gets normal effect.
B: Renny is in group and Lola is with him. Renny only pays 50 rage points and gets the normal thing as well as a Special relationship bonus that gets added for having her in the group as well. (Maybe increase the bonus if she pays too or something as an optional thing or so.)

Well, he's saying that players are discouraged from having the character they're SignSeq-ing with in their party, because if said character is in the party, they're effectively spending twice the rage points.

He's annoyed because he's going to have to choose between having Lola in his team, and being all lovey-dovey with her, or being able to use use their SignSeq effectively.

So what he wants you to do is have only one character pay the RP cost, and deduct further RPs from the cost if both characters are on-field.

Or you could just, y'know, split the RP cost between the characters when they're both on the field.

By the way, Gem, Pierce and Charlotte are supposed to be whispering. Or at least Pierce is supposed to be whispering.

Backstory / Personality: A butler serving in Rayleen's family for at least three generations, Dormond personally blames himself for Rayleen's suffering when her father and fiancé were killed. His relationship with Rayleen is deep and he considers himself her personal champion, protector of body and mind.

One would expect her to have other features, but do to adding hair removal in undesireable places as part of her personal care regimen, there are no tufts of furr on her wrists, eyebrows, or on the sides of her knees.
Backstory / Personality: Lola has been working as a trainee nurse for about five years, and as a registered nurse for less, but she's damn good at the job of healing others. One of the small disappointments in her life is that far too many people come to see her just to see her. Seriously, a stomacheache? Your leg fell asleep, that's all. I'm sorry, I don't see an open head wound. Yeeeeah. Lola wants to prove her potential by dealing with the worst injuries a man could ever suffer from without dying, yet for this professional, she may get bored quickly.

Current set up is that Renny pays 50 if he's by himself.
Current set up is that Renny and Lola together pay 100 while being together for the same effect.

Proposed suggestion is what I said above, but if we use Drac's suggestion, the other proposed idea would be...
Proposed set up: Renny pays 50 if he's by himself.
Proposed set up: Renny and Lola pay 50 rage in any combination amongst themselves. (Not including the other stuff above I mentioned.) So Renny could pay 30 and she pays 20, or he pays 10 and she pays 40, or what not.

Not increase the price for having your chosen partner on the field whom the technique was supposed to be built in mind for. Especially without any boost in performance.

It's like if Pierce could do Apple Rain by himself with no penalty if she isn't there. But if she IS there, the cost is doubled since she has to pay too for no extra power. Which is odd since she's supposed to be easing the burden and helping him while using all her skills as a fighter, morale boost aside, and anyone would think that two strong warriors like Pierce and Shizuka together would do the job easier and better together than Pierce alone.

I dislike your idea because I prefer having Signature Sequences mean a strong connection with the other character, not being used to get a stronger connection. But that's my preference.

To put it another way: Menarker wants to be able to abuse his Signature Sequence to stack up Sex Points with Lola and bone her sooner.

Understood. If both characters are on the field, that RP cost is split between them. But you can't do a custom division like 10 and 40 for a 50 cost. I keel you.

I resent that statement as an inaccurate view of what I tried to say. >_> (even though I wouldn't object to it if it did work like that. ^,^)

Basically, the bonus part I was talking about was just the team-work aspect that Drac decided to put in another way. Drac said split the cost, and I said give a bonus to the technique if they are together. I never said anything about it actually boosting her affection.

Still, Drac's price splitting thing is a good way to possibly look at it too.

EDIT: Posting the previously approved Pokemon Breeder stuff for my reference. I might appeal for some changes due to the changes made in the system such the rage stuff and all. (Especially since custom items are being granted to every trainer and that was one of the supposed specific benefits of the class.)

All Pokemon on Renny's Team gains these abilities in addition to a level boost:

Enhanced Focus: Focus now doubles the power instead of multiplying by 1.5x.

Enhanced Divide: Using Divide would reduce the power from 50% of power to 75% when using Divide on offensive moves or negate the accuracy drop in the case of Divide being used with status moves. (Moves like Confuse Ray hit 100% when divided between two pokemons)

Rehearsed Training: Being able to change movesets of all pokemons once per mission in between combat, and one pokemon will be able to have their moves changed DURING combat or during a time when there is no time for discussion. (Emergency action)

Custom Move: All pokemon gains a powerful custom move. Takes up a move slot.

Controlled Technique: Control allows a move that would have a negative effect like hitting an ally (like Earthquake or Surf) to not take place without dropping or raising the power of the attack.

All of Renny's Pokemon gain the following:

Pokemon Master: All pokemons are level 100. (Assuming that pokemons of the other trainers are around level 80 or 85ish fairly soon) Stats will be listed in bio, but typically assumes that 2 of each of the pokemons stats are at their maximum value as according to Serebii's website, as a result of careful EV training. Assumes that nature is beneficial regardless of actual pokemon's personality.

Testament Drive: All pokemons having a sort of Testament Drive that's weaker than the legendary pokemon version and usable once per combat. Leader Pokemons get ones that only slightly weaker from legendaries.
