I had it in my head that we were going to end up escorting the dragon pup back to its mother in a faraway land. That would've been a rather bizarre adventure.

I figured on Marcus giving a rather moving speech on the deaths the dragon would cause if it was allowed to live, and then either an agreement on killing it or he'd be disabled by those who are against killing it.

After reading back through the posts, I was actually wrong. I thought at least one person had decided to keep it alive, but it was actually the other way around and wanting to kill it. So turns out everyone wants to kill it or won't care (Except an NPC but fuck those guys).

And really it was more of an issue of keeping the PCs together. With my initial assumption there was no reason most of the PCs would stick together, and actually would turn to PvP (As krylo seemed to have planned too). Though as stated before, I was wrong on that. Plus some other stuff I don't need to go over.

Still, I actually like the idea of cutting it short, because let's be honest, this won't last very long. No RPs do and we only started with seven people as our decay buffer. Making it a short and sweet adventure, with everything so far then probably something after the dragon for the travel home, gives it a little conclusion over a dwindling death.

I'll put it to a vote. Finish after everyone gets home after (killing) the dragon, or go till we're done?

Christ I got ninja'd. It's late, what the fuck.

Edit - AB, that was the idea, with random magical shit bothering the PCs (Trolls capture a PC/the dragon, some spirit of the fish needs something and if you do it will transport you over the sea, etc) till we were basically done. Which is still the idea, but with a set ending instead of me dragging it on.

Though without the escorting because everyone wants to kill it (albeit secretly), Hohem isn't that strong, and I don't want to use the nature spirit to strong arm everyone again.

Don't care either way. It'd be a new experience for me to see the actual end of an RP.

We go till we're done of course. Andre would still very much like to see that dragon alive and escorted, bizarre adventure style, to its mother. The trouble was until very recently it was FAR easier to kill it than it was to capture it seeing as the monstrosity was certain to be rather good at killing him and he wasn't exactly an expert in catching such exotic things.

With the potion he will pretty much be set on it. No speech would really move him enough to get him not to save it now, and cutting something short just because we are pessimistic ninnies doesn't really appeal to me. Lets run this thing to a better end, or run it into the ground trying.

Whatever happens, happens now. I also had plans for the buyer to show up, pissed after lack of delivery, with soldiers to fight and blah blah. Basically I've thought of various branches based on how things turn out, the example being for if it seemed like people wanted to fight more, also making everyone targets again so they work together and more blah blah. So preferably, ignore the whole issue I brought up and RP like I didn't talk about it.

However, I still want the vote on if I should make this short and sweet, or we keep going till it's played out.

Short and sweet means we're done at chapter 2 or 3, while played out means like 10 to 15 (Because if we got that far I would end it regardless).

I'm going to be one of those weird people that vote for the short and sweet, because I see IHMN's point about wanting to end it quickly, and that if we drag it on we all get stuck at a crucial point and it just kinda dies off.

Could just plan each chapter as an "end" chapter could be just the job we signed up for and then see what happens after each chapter with how the interest goes?
