OOC: Oh yay, now I hafta kill all these guys again, oh well, let's find out what happens...
BiC: Charcion had just finished brutually "lifing" a wight, when suddenly Nerzurahl's spell took affect. All the shattered bodies of the Ebon Gaurd and their steeds got back up, dismembered arms, legs and heads returning to their original hosts. Charcion growled in frustration and stomped the ground, and muttered to himself, "How many times must I kill these cretin's...." He gripped Aiedail's shaft firmly when a voice shattered his thoughts in his mind. "Come to me.. do not be afraid..." His mind went blissfully blank as the lich's spell not also affected Wind, but himself as well, yet Charcion was a Warrior of Might, not of Mind. He dropped to his knees, skull in his hands, and screamed his frustration at an empty rooftop, fighting to regain his own mind. He got up slowly, wincing as his brain started melting into the lich's spell. He took a knife off his belt and slowly said as he glared coldly at the necromancer facing Wind, "You'll be in... Hell before.... me..." He threw the knife with all his might into the lich's side, barely penetrating the heavy armor beneath but it was enough for Charcion to break away from the Lich's spell. His own thoughts returned to him as he sighed, then turned to find the entire Ebon Gaurd company facing him, swords drawn, steeds snorting. He grimaced and then chuckled to himself as he prepped Aiedail for the slaughter, but wether it was his or the Gaurd's, he did not know.

Wind clung to the reassuring presence of Breeze’s surprisingly warm body as they lashed out with hooves, staff and spells to either side, felling the wights that were forever bound in the living plane. She cursed silently as they leapt back to life, their mutilated limbs joining again as soon as she felled them. Her wolf fang was useless here, and she knew that the necromancer can nullify her earth maw the moment she used it.
“Let’s see if you can fare well against Rain,” she grimaced, parrying a deadly blade. Grey eyes flashing into a darker hue, she whispered a charm, and the necklace encircling her neck glowed brightly. The clouds above suddenly seized up, and, as if the gods decided throw down buckets of water, the rain came down hard and fast, quickly turned the earth into mud. Breeze ignored the ground, and worked his way higher into the sky, his hooves finding purchase in thin air. Then, Rain came. Like a flood she came, all flashing claws and clashing jaws, down a waterfall from the sky. : Care, my friends,: Wind warned. The feline growled assent and averted the torrent of water from Charcion and the knights, before hitting the Ebon guard hard and fast.

OOC: Its a typical trait of the undead to be difficult to kill. To tell the truth, I was a little disappointed by how easily everyone was saying that they were defeating them. By god-moding I assume you are refering to the wight's blades? Well characters are always exceptional and so the blades won't necessarily kill with just one hit. As a side note, Nezurahl isn't a lich.
Nezurahl draws his sword with a steely rasp as he regards his foes. His other hand clutches his staff and he guides his steed with his knees as it waits impatiently for bloodshed. He ignores the dagger which had been stopped by his armour as he sees the torrent of water suddenly fall from the sky. Raising his staff he deflects the water from hitting him and surges forwards towards Wind before she can get too far off the ground. Behind him the Ebon Guard silently close in on Charcion and Rain, the ancient warriors hewing at them with their accursed blades. A knight moves to intercept Nezurahl but the necromancer stills his heart with but a glance. He strikes at Wind with his runic blade who parries the stroke with her staff even as Nezurahl's mount bites out at Breeze with its viperish teeth. Last edited by Arhra; 08-11-2004 at 07:28 AM. |

OOC: Not really. I was actually just saying that the immortality of the wights themselves would be godmodding, but then… they would be released once your character is dead, no? Or… are you willing to relinquish your character?
Still, you are dealing with an air elemental mount here, and they heal so fricken fast (as I have seen I previous Rping encounters… damn them) BIC: Breeze snorted and danced away from the sinister steed, taking Wind with him. She didn’t mind, using the moment to recover. As Breeze slipped in quickly for a retaliating chaff to the midnight horse’s neck, Wind struck at Nezurahl with viperish speed. For several heart-rending moments, the two were locked, equal in strength, until their mounts broke apart. The necromancer’s steed sported a shallow wound on the cheek, and several oozing teeth marks on its sweating neck. Breeze shook blood from his own wound that was closing fast. Still, the healing drained him a little. But only a little. Wind’s eyes flashed as they danced towards each other again. Suddenly, Breeze wheeled, quick as lightning, and lashed out with flashing hooves. Nezurahl’s steed snorted and sidestepped. Still, the powerful kick nicked the horse’s flank, and a red gash appeared. Before the necromancer’s horse could recover, the undead master himself had to parry another blow from Wind’s staff. Wind’s eyes narrowed as she balled her other hand into a fist. Her legs squeezed Breeze’s flanks for support as she struck out, opening her hand, reaching towards the necromancer’s armor. Rust! Meanwhile, Rain bared her sabre fangs and nicely diced the nearest wight that dared to even lay eyes on her sleek features. Not waiting for the pieces to reform, she moved methodically forward, and those that faced her met the same end as the first. Opening her mouth, she sent a torrent of water outwards and washed the still recovering pieces a fair distance away. OOC: I hope you don’t mind if my character’s spell eats away a bit of your char’s armor. btw, rust is a secondary spell (if ya didn't notice already:P)

OOC: Meh.
BiC: Water rushed around Charcion, just an arms reach away, and took the form of a giant feline a few paces ahead. Charcion raised an eyebrow. "Oh.......kay.....". He turned and faced the side of the necromancer, now clashing with Wind. "I guess with the cat taking them out, I should lend a hand with this necromancer. Cealinndir knows I need a challenge." He strapped Aiedail to his back and drew his swords. He charged with a mighty war-cry, and covered the distance in a surprisingly short time, swinging Bloodbringer at Nezurahl's Shoulder... or at least where it was. Instead, Bloodbringer swished through the air and cut into Nezurahl's steed's flank. Obviously this did not please the undead steed, as it kicked Charcion square in the chest with it's now bleeding back legs. His breath was drawn out, and he was knocked to the ground. OOC: Cealinndir is Charcion's God of War.

Long story short: catapult shot flys into ship and blows a hole in the hull. Zeppelin flys over castle and a bunch of goblins and stik roped on to the roof, blow a hole in it and rope in to the castle. The kill squad shoots their way to a hall way guarded by dwarves led by doug. Gobbo kill squad joins them in the massive carnage of bodies filled with crossbow bolts .

OOC : Dont double post it makes the mods angry
and there has been no one else in the hall Ic:As the goblins broke through the roof the dwarves hair trigger finger got the best of them and they kill one or two goblins (there are about 60 dwarves). After introductions were made Doug Laughed at the fact nezurahl also called in goblins to help them. "alright lets go find some butts and kick'em" Douglas yelled as he charged down the hall after hearing the necromancers mental call for aid. "Alright lads spread out and kill the biggest threat to our employer, Goblin (talking to Stik) get your men in there" |

OOC: Actually the wights can be killed, its just difficult to do so. They have to be killed in a certain way or else they just get up again. And no, I don't mind about the spell. And now its time for my character to finally draw blood.
The Ebon Guard are undetered by Rain's ferocity, shields ready they strike at her again and again. Even the elemental's reflexes are not enough to stop all of the blows though the death magic woven into the wight's blades is greatly hindered by Rain's elemental nature. Still, it looks like it is only a matter of time before the proud feline is dragged under by the Ebon Guard's undying determination. Nezurahl's steed stamps at the fallen Charcion with razor edged hooves as the necromancer and Wind circle each other warily. Nezurahl feints with his staff, the ruby set into the skull surmounting it crackling with eldritch power. Wind parries again with her staff, sparks of magic crackling between the two enchanted weapons as Nezurahl slices in low with his sword. Wind tries to block but Nezurahl's staff stops her from moving it down in time and Breeze cannot sidestep fast enough to dodge the blow. It cuts into Wind's side and she can feel the dreadful thirst of the blade as it tears at her life force. Nezurahl just smiles wider as the blood on his blade burns with a ghostly blue flame and seems to soak into the black steel. |
