how far will the three core rulebooks get me? I already have those, I just can never find anyone in the "real world" interested in playing, so I have next to no experience in serious RP's, just weird RP's like calvinball, and thats just from the past week

hmmm? I'm currently learning D&D, so more of my posts will orient towards that.

However, since I don't know all the spells off heart, and I prefer freestyle to D&D atm, I will be veering away now and then.

Background: Ilgivan is the last in a royal line which fell out of power some two or three thousand years ago. Due to this timespan, he is unaware that he is descended from the previous royal family, and has been living in an Old Blood community in which his family has long been farmers bonded to either horses, wolves (Old Blood people tend to get along better with the feral form of an animal than the domesticated one), or beehives. On his sixteenth birthday, as was the custom, he went into the woods to find his Wit Beast. The entire community expected him to follow suit with the rest of his family, and were shocked when he returned with a flying snake. Unsure of what weapon to gift him with, the townsfolk simply gave him the weapons of both a snake and a bird.* As a minidrag had no place on a farm, he set off to seek his fortune. After eight years, while sleeping in a tree, he heard a tortured choir throbbing at the back of his head, originating far to the north "please let me die, please let me die." Unsure of what it meant, he set forth to investigate.

* The Old Blood community would give someone who had just gained their companion a weapon, symbolizing the creature they were now bonded to for life. These weapons were often enchanted, for they, their new companions, and the clothes upon their backs were the only things they would have to start their new lives with. If one thinks of this bond as a type of marriage, they may think of the weapon as the dowry.

Arhra & Pheonix: You can check up the "Half-dragons" file in the site i gave Newb. I think it has infor regarding Pseudo-dragons. It might help.

Rhiya: Don't worry, Rhiya. We won't be following STRICTLY to D&D rules. I'm only adding things that are found in the world of D&D, that's all.

About the semi-turn based stuff, how long do we wait to skip people? a week since their last post? Two days since their last post? A day after everyone else has gone? What?
Personally, I think it would be most fair to have it be x days after everyone else is stuck.
