Making it happen.

Some people have speculated Sabine - because the IFCC might not want someone like Tarquin with information leading to the Snarl - or one of Draketooth's accomplices - for similar reasons.

Also, Captain SNES updated again.

There's an ad for the comic's own merchandise on top of every page, and on the front page all the way down a regular banner advertising some sort of supposedly inventive online comic book store. Oh and just below the strip I see there's an ad that gets blocked by basic script blocking. If anyone's curious.

The thing I find really disgusting about this, and I'm not sure if it's only in relation to women or not, as no fucking way am I reading the whole archive, but the thing I find really disgusting is this: Rayne does this miserable shit, and we see the women frustrated by it, so they are clearly being victimized here, but because they live in Sohmer's ugly little power fantasy, that's where it stops, and then it gets dialed down to just "OH THAT RAYNE!"
Trying to make treating people like this seem harmless, and the people who stand up to say it's wrong just whiny complainers, is exactly how oppression works. LICD comes out in full support of all manner of prejudice, and I find it to be a miserable, sexist, racist (yeah I actually did wind up seeing a couple other bits of it. THANKS A LOT, FIFTH), vomitous pile of shit that isn't worth its own bandwidth. It's the modern era's anti-Tom literature.

Meanwhile Something Positive lives up to its name, as apparently Mike got crushed by a bathtub hiding from a superhero stalker in an abandoned building.
I have a bad feeling he's going to survive though. >_>

Haha, I remember back at around this page people were all going "Oh noez Shadow is dying ABLUUUUH" and I was all "Dude what are you even worried for, the damn tooth of Coyote could not cut him, he's obviously just feeling a touch of ontological shock from violently unfolding to a higher dimension of heretofore unimagined perceptions and motion and freedom and man, he's going to have a lot of fun being no longer confined to the surface of things".
And I was right! That'll teach people to stop listening as soon as you mention words like "ontological". But anyway. I'm not seeing a lot of evidence of Kat's and Annie's supposed not falling in love with each other. Or maybe it's the human emotion called friendship. . .

Order of the Stick didn't update!
But I did get my hands on Start of Darkness, and now I have an observation which seems appropriate for our now apparently all-except-Homestuck-encompassing webcomics thread. Spoiler for page 1: Xykon raises his puppy from the dead. That's pretty crazy. Animate Dead seems to be the simplest spell for zombie making in all D&D; it's a level four spell. Sorcerers get access to those at level eight. Xykon at the time is four years old. I guess he's either had a really tough toddlerhood or he's some sort of natural born necromancy genius. Cause Sorcerers don't have it easy enough am I right So that may be why it seems like the heroes have such a hard time keeping up. I like this comic more every year.

It was probably just a random power outburst, since he's a sorcerer. He wanted something to happen bad enough that he made it happen with his power. Untrained sorcerers especially do that sort of thing occasionally. D&D mechanics are for characters that have trained enough to be able to reproduce the effect reliably, thereby gaining character levels.
