Boring post is boring. Didn't even have Whitney react to her paradigm shift expiring. Ah well.
Gem, I think the next round should be focused on finishing off the killbots while Gravity is still up (Although we'll need two attackers each since Whitney's paradigm shift is over). Also dealing with the battlebot too. Hopefully we'll finish this off before the MIV dips too low into low morale tier and we risk random fear statuses. Suggested plan be... Lola: Spend 50 rage to be able to use four items instead of two. (Lola's Rage drops to 30) Give Impact, Whitney and herself the standard 50% healing item (additional 25% heal at end of turn). The fourth item is a revive for Whitney's Ninjask. Whitney gains 25 rage as a result of her leader pokemon being revived. Whitney's rage becomes 65. Whitney: Maintains Frolass form and Paradigm Shift again. (Her rage drops to 5). Does STAB paradigm shift boosted with +1 Special Attack item boost Blizzard on Killdoll H and Dusk Evolith. Impact: Sweep with his best weapon that the battlebot doesn't resist on. (Targets being the weaken battlebot and the Fire Evolith) Mirror: Does the technique Dance of Damsel (Paying for the full cost by herself) attacking Killdoll I and Dusk Evolith. Whitney's Ninjask: Ninjask does STAB X-Scissor on target with lowest remaining hitpoints, with priority going to any remaining killdolls. Basically the aim is to heal up, wipe out both Killdolls, double hit the Dusk Evolith hard and have Impact and Ninjask do some cleanup on the weaken foes. |

Whitney should have reacted to her Paradigm Shift ending?
Like, I dunno. At most I could have said "Whitney reverted back to her regular humanoid form". Also, fuck you if the post is boring. I've accomplished the herculean task of completely fucking up my sleep to get you a post while I'm on freaking vacation.

Get along, children. We all know that if you anger Dracorion, he'll have Pierce Paradigm Shift into MissingNo and rock your face off with...what attacks does MissingNo have, anyways?
And there really shouldn't be much reaction to people changing in and out of a Paradigm Shift, or even from form to form. Please, think of it that way. Our special effects budget is already through the friggin' roof. But really, both Paradigm Shifts and Pokeshifts are pretty much like transforming in Legend of Dragoon. All they do is change. It's pretty, but it's so natural you never really take it into account. Even a new Pokebrid like Renny will be surprised at how easily he can flow like that, like he's always been a Pokebrid. It can be kind of disturbing at first. Last edited by Astral Harmony; 12-21-2010 at 12:18 AM. |

Actually, there are a few varieties of Missingno, depending on the different types of the games including regions or how the glitch was triggered.
But the most infamous one, which Drac is sporting as his avatar has crap stats for everything but sky high Attack stat. Thus it has a piddly Water Gun but has a Sky Attack that hurts like hell. (I forget the other two) Anyhow, neat to note how paradigm shift actually work. |

Sorry about the double post, but no response in the last two days.
Bard: Your battle plan when you are ready. Gem: Any thoughts about my proposed plan above? (Post 51) |

Yes, Menarker, I have quite many thoughts on the above plan. Mainly stuff along the lines of "Wait, this is the guy who was in charge the last few turns? How have we not lost yet?"
In regards to pokebrids: We agreed that they don't gain rage from their own actions while they're paradigm-shifted, cause they use rage for those actions. But shouldn't they get rage for their pokemon's actions? Just makes sense, both logically and gameplay-wise. |

The second thing is interesting to note. This is slightly unexplored territory because there are few pokebrids on our side that have pokemons of their own (Rachel, Whitney and soon Renny). And Whitney is our first one to have tried paradigm shifting and attacking with pokemons at the same time. |

My friend, if I were to list all the mistakes you've made in the last few turns, I'd still be writing come New Year's. This post would develop into an extensive 200-page treatise on strategy and psychology that would make my name known to the international scientific community and probably earn me a Nobel prize. I would get a scientific award for how terrible those plans are, and my acceptance speech would consist solely of insults to your intelligence. So let's all not go there. I know, I know, it's my fault. I shouldn't have trusted you with this, I should have expected this. Somehow, I didn't. Thought you wouldn't mess it up. Well, I'm sorry for believing in you, Menarker. So sorry. Though the fact that you're even questioning my claims to your incompetence is just further evidence that your grasp on reality is, at best, tenuous. And don't even get me started on the fact that that post of yours included an implicit challenge. You have no idea. I fully intend to post a plan that's better than yours, as soon as a couple of minor tactical issues get sorted out. Amongst them the question I asked previously. I appreciate that you think it's an interesting issue. I agree. Did you have an opinion on how it should be handled, or are you going to limit yourself to telling me why it's interesting? Just curious. And speaking of curious: Your choice of pokemon, now. If it's imbalanced, and I'm sure it will be, this'll be the last opportunity I have to take care of it. |

I would be curious to see where you think I went wrong. No one except for Whitney's pokemon have fainted, everyone's health has been sustained and the situation is now under total control and stable. And swiftly dealt with in a manner of 2 turns. Quote:
I wouldn't mind at all if pokebrids gain rage from their pokemons, even if they themselves are unable. By the way, I had totally forgotten to mention this in my previous post, but once again, we can/should probably get back into organizing the Gem/Renny conversation, probably via using the Piratepad link in my signature to work things out.
