Swallow and Roll Out!
|
[edit: SHIT! sorry, i was writing it in word and copied part of your post in for reference]
OOC: ehh, well then. Time for me to do some stuff as well. Btw, is your steed also undead? Cuz I’m gonna make it alive. Or uhm… dead…. BIC: Pull me away! Wind screamed in her mind. Agony jolted through her body as the blade worked into her side, and she gasped with the pain. Breeze whinnied and reared, slamming heavy hooves into the black steed’s skull, shattering heavy bone and metal. The force of the strike snapped the steed’s neck at an odd right angle. Even as Wind felt the life-draining sword leave her side, she felt a great weariness pulling down her consciousness. Staunching the wound as best as she could, she parried the necromancer’s staff again, now coming from ground level, as he had leapt from his dead mount, but it was greatly weakened. Breeze’s hooves danced over Charcion’s body, narrowly avoiding the living man. If he moved, it would be a fatal choice. She thrust out her other arm again. Rust! Metallic motes danced across her fingers and shot into Nezurahl’s armour, weaving their corrosive ability into the network of metal that strengthened the necromancer’s plates. The effect was immediate. It was like a bronzed wildfire that spread rapidly throughout the glinting black metal, starting from his torso. Gritting her teeth against the raging pain in her side, she thrust her staff in a lightning quick motion that plunged the air staff through the chest plate of the necromancer. “Die!” Rain took some heavy blows, but, consisting of water, merely healed the fatal wounds even as she slipped under the Ebon guard’s defences. Instead of dicing, she leapt… and gushed into the surprised wight’s mouth, a reverse liquid waterfall. The effect was immediate. A sickening explosion happened, as the wight filled with too much water, and the remains of the undead splattered about. Reforming back into a feline, Rain did this in 3 quick succession before the wights could figure out a way to stop this. OOC: I’m assuming that to kill a wight is to fill every single undead cell in its with water so that every cell would burst from the pressure building inside each cell, thus leading to literally irreparable damage. (I do biology. I swear, if they come back to life again, I’ll seriously accuse you of godmodding. NOBODY, not even undead, can face that and not be utterly destroyed. But then again, I’m not in a nice mood tonight >.< “warning, mood swing in 5 mins”) But then again, Rain is tiring, so her tirade with water bursting won’t last long. You’ll just end up with less ebon guards. Btw, Wind is about to channel wolf fang through the staff and through your necro’s chest with the last ounce of her strength. It is advisable to take evasive action or die. Either way, Wind is screwed.

OOC: Yep, that should kill them. The way to kill them is to cut out their heart or completely destroy their bodies. This should be fun. What is your opinion on character death however?
Nezurahl staggers, his armour corroding away as the staff punches through his breastplate. Sensing Wind drawing deeply on her power he feels something alien: doubt. His plans were unravelling and he was vulnerable. He didn't know if his intricate corpse-wards could withstand the attack. In desperation he pulls back, planting his staff in front of him, earthed firmly in the ground and begins calling on his deepest reserves. The zombies and skeletons nearby rush forwards to interpose themselves between him and her, anything to stop that dreadful power he could feel building. OOC: I could go on but its your spell so I'll only put in the stuff prior to you casting it. Ah... panicking wizards, always fun. |

OOC: common sense says the guy with the 'uge axe is the biggest threat to a master necromancer
Ic: As Douglas lines up a clean shot to Charcion and fires....... Charcion parries. "Dang" yelled Douglas as he signaled the others to open fire upon the two fighting the necromancer. Needless to say the shots only end up hitting the big cat and the ebon guard. "wait, shoot the water cat thing" called Douglas to the team "If the cat dies the ebon guard will overrun those two fools". ooc:mind if I make my bolts do more than miss? Moments later the air was filled with bolts all flying straight into the large feline..... It all flys straight through the cat straight towards Charcion TO BE CONTINUED! |

OOC: My computers bein a bitch and i leave for NJ tomorrow morning so im done here...
Losil doded through the bodies of the undead and living soldiers, many covered from head to toe with blood. Knowing that the Ebon Guardsman was only seconds away from ending Losil's life he turned to face him. "This is the last moment of my life but i will not let you take it from me" He rammed his staff into the ground. For Losil all was silent as the white hot wrath of heaven consumed him. The explosion rippled through the battlefield andburnt up the bodies of countless warriors including some of the Ebon Guard. And so ended the life of Losil Al'Barath...

OOC: Wind is going to use another secondary spell. However, it's not really her that will be casting it.
Regarding character death, well, I planned Wind to die, unless this battle rp turns into something more of a furthering adventure rp. BIC: Wind's eyes flashed bitterly, glittering with bloody tears. Her left hand curled into a claw. Breeze sensed the movement, and immediately reacted. :You will use that?: Breeze asked anxiously, snorting, before slamming a quick hoof down on the ground, snapping a flying bolt in two before it managed to reach Charcion's skull. "Aid me," Wind merely replied. Breeze complied. The rain poured down. Gritting her teeth, she allowed herself to slide off her mount's back as he reared magnificently, mane flying. The stallion roared a challenge into the skies, hooves flashing in the air. The wind stilled. Around them, the battle raged. Crouched, holding her wound, Wind knelt behind her wild friend as he threw the powerful spell. Breeze glowed pale blue, gathering the elements of air around his body like a thick cloak. The wild stallion of the air suddenly brought his hooves down and bucked, striking the air above. The physical body of the horse suddenly disappeared, forming into a strange, liquid wind that snaked upwards. Without warning, it spun forward, like an abnormal tornado. Howling with fury, it struck swiftly into the wall of undead and Ebon guards like a giant fist that swept the wall aside as easily as a child breaking flimsy twigs. Behind the wake of the spell, Wind appeared before the vulnerable Necromancer. Her weightless staff once again found its way through the shattered breastplate. She was breathing heavily, but it will end here. Whether she kills him or not. She knew she would not survive. The wound was already affecting her. She closed her eyes, and two tears, pearly and red, traced a path down her pale face. Wolf Fang Alpha! OOC: The spell the elemental did was independent to Wind's initial spells. It takes 50 years to charge it up. Anyhoo, I'll let you decide whether your character dies. Wolf Fang Alpha is just a fancy name for a soul-woven spell that's about several levels higher than normal wolf fang. I'll stop hogging the spotlight now :P

OOC: While I did consider character death, I think it would bring this story to a close too soon. I do seem to have become the main villian somehow and most of the spells would crumble without Nezurahl, which would be disastrous. Still I hope this is just as interesting.
A bright light radiates out as Wind pours the last of her life into the spell. The battle pauses as the undead pause and the soldiers gape at the otherworldly blast of elemental magic. The two mages can be glimpsed at as vague silhouettes in the depths of the maelstrom of wind and magic. Nezurahl calls forth his own twisted magic in answer as insubstantial fangs of wind tear at him. His staff smoulders as the elemental power falls upon it in full force and his arcane corpse-wards flash into nothingness before the onslaught. Desperately he shapes another ward before him, trying to divert and deflect the raging spell but it fractures before it is even complete. The razor-edged air tears at his flesh and soul even as he forges a bubble of crimson force that holds for a fraction of a second before crumpling inwards and imploding. The eldritch storm fans outwards, the wise fleeing from the blinding destruction. It appears like a glowing dome of blinding white energy, unstable flares of energy crackling around it and deadly winds rushing from it. Tiny sparks of other magic can be glimpsed at by those who risk their sight by gazing into the spell's depths. Inside the tempest Nezurahl reaches desperately for more power, many of the undead warrios crumpling to dust as he draws off the power used to animate them into their hideous rotting mockery of life. Using the extra burst of power he tries to weave more spells even as he reels from the backlash of his earlier wards breaking. On the verge of being consumed by Wind's final spell he feels the pulse of the stolen life force in his runic blade and frantically taps it. With a final flash, Wind's spell reaches upwards to the sky like a huge beacon and then there is silence. The sound of a sword striking flesh seems to carry across the battleground with a peculiar clarity. At what had been the epicenter of the spell the earth itself has been plowed away, leaving a crater-like depression. Nezurahl, dread master of the undead, stands over Wind's body, the spirit seer slain by his hand. His tattered robes are smouldering and he leans heavility on his charred staff but some terrible will keeps him standing despite his injuries and the fell light in his eyes is undimmed. His voice hoarse, he whispers words that also carry across the battleground, "You will not escape me in death. Rise again to destroy my enemies." All watch on in horror, too far away to interfere as the necromancer pulls together the dregs of his depleted power to clothe him again in his sinister majesty and speaks the abominable words to bind unwilling spirit into dead flesh and lifeless bone. OOC: A little god mod-ish perhaps but I feel that the idea has a lot of potential and is very appropriate. It does let your character keep going after all Rhiya. You can decide what kind of undead you wish your character to become. |

noticing that the gay dwarves had shot his best men Stik devised a plan for revenge. Stik pulled out a pint of beer while guarding the hallway next to doug. Being the Idiot dwarf he is he did not notice Stik slip poison in the beer and the giant charge placed on his back that would detonate at any sudden movement. AS doug drank the beer stik called all his assasins to him and told them to immediatly kill all dougs dwarves after he was dead. "choke*helpmeeee*choke" came from doug as he was wrigling violently from the poison, and then the bomb went off. No one had ever seen a more spectackular explosion as doug's peices flew all over the faces of his dwarves. Stik and his goblins immideatly took aim and fired, today was the day that so many dwarves were killed in such a short time. Stik and his crew cheered and climbed back in to thier zeppelin feeling a job well done

OOC: Oye. I should post more eh...?
BiC: Charcion lay on the floor, liberated from the horse. He got up with a groan and looked around, watching zombies vanish into dust. His gaze followed the trail of disappearing zombies and what met his eyes enraged him. The Necromancer still stood, and Wind lay limp on the ground. His grip tightened around his swords as he watched the necromancer regain his power. "I will not let you live past this day necromancer....". He charged, breaking free of the army of knights gawking at Nezurahl. He covered the distance in around fifteen seconds and slammed Nezurahl into the wall. Grasping the necromancer by the neck, he threw him to the ground, and raised his swords for the deathblow. OOC: Sorry if it seems a bit not letting others do anything.

OOC: yey! I gets to be evils! *dances*
BIC: But the blow never came. Wind's already dead body snapped upwards and held the sword at bay with an iron grip. Grey eyes, no longer grey but black with the magic of the necromancer, glared outward. She watched emotionlessly as she threw the mere mortal back with inhuman strength. Watched helplessly as Nezurahl bound her death to her life. She was his now. A sneer curled her undead lips. Inside, she wept. Drawing upon a nonexistant elemental power, brought from beyond death, she turned towards the apocalypse knights and unleashed a wall of howling fire that rolled towards them. OOC: ebil is good >

OOC: Well, I'm glad you're happy.
Nezurahl climbs to his feet still leaning heavily on his staff. It appeared that his choice had been the right one, but he was still desperately weakened. He had survived the magical cataclysm by using the life-force his blade had taken from Wind and so was still badly injured. Being knocked down by that knight commander had exacerbated his wounds. It was only through force of will that he clung to life. Hoarsely he croaks out, "Ebon Guard to me," even as the storm of fire scythes through the knights. The bolder of the knights that had evaded the fire charge in towards him, knowing if they can kill the master necromancer then the tide of battle will turn greatly. But though weakened, Nezurahl is far from helpless. A ray of dark energy arcs out from his staff to the lead knight, seeming to clutch onto his face and then pulse with malignant life. The knight gives a muffled scream as his flesh withers and turns pale, the spell draining the life out of him. Nezurahl straightens slightly as he drinks the knight's life and then he makes an arcane gesture. The spell leaps from the dead knight onto the next, his courage not stopping him from succumbing to the dark magic. As the knights charge closer, the Ebon Guard close ranks around Nezurahl to protect him from harm as he gorges himself on stolen life-force. |
