Considering we've seen John on LoHaC all happy-go-lucky as ever, I think there's nothing to worry about in regards to Rose's Grimdark transformation.

Unless of course at that time he's still unaware of it, in which case Rose is the Gamzee of the Kids' session.

...Dangit, I can't figure out whether the line Bard quoted is foreshadowing John and Rose, or whether the artistic direction of Rose "glowing black" is foreshadowing a budding romance between Rose and Kanaya, whenever Kanaya can actually contact her again.

I mean clearly, Rose remaining single is not an option, as Homestuck is all about the ships.

Also, it's fun how this development actually parallels a real-life, real-world maturation story. One way for a girl like Rose to deal with the recent loss of her mother would be in to succumb to the temptation to go full-out goth.

BL1ND JUST1C3: 1NV3ST1G4T1ON!! is probably the best song on the new album. You can totally overlay it with "OBJECTION!" and "TAKE THAT!" and it will sound totally accurate.

And She's a Sp8der is decidedly unspiderly because Pirates of the Carribean is decidedly unspiderly.
