That's what odd. If your result is as you say you should have waited till the the PO did investigate you and then you can claim. Because in this way you keep your role secret and mess up the mafia.

Okay, so I made a bad call.

I'm not saying the PO shouldn't check me. I'm saying, in theory, he should. Problem is this will, in theory, prove little as there is most likely a roleblocker for scum if they have power roles too.

A vig going after me proves nothing either. I could still be a bulletproof scum.

But seeing as there is about a 3 in 23-2TVce of the PO being hindered (By a Roleblocker, scumkill, or culting, and you could bet the CL would love to get the PO to denounce me)... I'd say the POing is going to be more conclusive.

I think it's the 4 and chan part of 23-24'chance (Apostrophe added to avoid filtering) that caused the filter.

My vote stands; it's much more of a scum-cover-up move than a town move. Either way, we have little else to go on so far, so I'd say it'd be at least somewhat productive day 1.

I mean, if he really is telling the truth, what use is he anymore? He isn't a trap unless scum falls for the WIFOM trick. If he really is night-immune but scum, then lynching is the only way to get rid of him.

Since we don't have any better leads, I'd like to avoid having this headache for more of the game. For all we know, it's a trap to lure out town power roles. Heck, he might even have retribution effects, and is just begging to be investigated or vig'd to take out our power roles.

Edit: and I'm still suspicious of the number 0 GM player.

I'll go ahead and take the other side for the moment, just for kicks. Sonic is a very likely role to have in this game, isn't it, Sega symbol and all that? And because it is, it would be fairly stupid for someone to say they had that role on Day One if they didn't have it, because somebody would surely call him out on it or at least try very, very hard to convince people to lynch him, which I don't think I'm seeing so much. And although I'm not overly familiar with Sonic, I think he's supposed to be a good guy which in this case equals not scum.

He could however be lying about what his role actually entails though, which might not necessarily be scummy because a, if he convinces people he can't be touched at night, then nobody (scum included) will try going after him, and if he's town, then the lie would save time and/or resources. Still, considering how fairly easily that could be confirmed (with a simple investigation and all), it strikes me as not a lie. So you end up with Sonic probably being true and role description probably true which equals... OctoberRaven not lying. So.

Yeah, Day One equals lynch who sticks out the most essentially, but as a scum move, this isn't sitting right with me. Keep an eye on him, yes, but lynch now? Nada, I think.

I'm also not a fan of the Stressball lynch; as amusing as it is, I really don't think we should lynch new people Day One. We don't want to discourage people from joining mafia, do we? Of course, I'm biased since it wasn't so long ago that I joined, :P.
