Hey, I know who I want to lynch. He just happens to be in jail.
Anyway, you're right about random voting. I don't like it either, and some of the sardonic humor from my earlier post was probably lost over the internet. Naturally we'd want to lynch scum over townies, but we don't always know how to do that. This is really just like any other situation in mafia; we try to eliminate the variables by takings risks, except that in this game there is no perceived risk. If we continue at this pace, and I don't see why we can't, then we will win. The mafia is powerless to kill and can only advance in the game by trying to turn us against each other, which is something we should try to avoid at all costs. When things change, we can adapt. But until then, I'd rather not waste our advantage on baseless paranoia. |

No, I'm just using Baseless Logic. Seriously, rethink what you call someone else's argument, especially when it's pretty easy to call out yours. ~_^ Edit- Messin' with a few words. Last edited by Mesden; 06-15-2007 at 01:06 AM. |

Eh, it was that or "phantom menace". Probably a poor choice of wording on my part, you're right. It's not just your argument that I was referring to, though. I'd like to avoid some of the suspicion circulating within my own mason group as well.
This argument is all fluff, anyway. I think we can agree on a course of action if we get down to basics. The first step, I suppose, is to not be so careless with our votes. Unvote. The second part, though... to not act as a cohesive unit, and to suspect one's allies. I'm going to need to see some more evidence before I try that sort of thing. Incidentally, why would the mafia target Gambit when they could go for Wolverine instead? After all, the "bodyguards" were protecting Dr. Strange that night. |

Unvote. I'm not sure why I didn't suspect Mason Traitors seeing as I put one in my game, but for some reason I didn't think they'd become common. I think later I'll review the thread and come up with a most-least scummy list, and not taking any role (except maybe Wizardcat) as definitely confirmed.

If it weren't for some of the things that I've already seen from this game, I'd say that a vigilante who's immune to night kills is absurd. But, you know, so is Dr. Strange.
I'm not too clear on how your role works, Mesden. Will you be able to target someone tonight? |

Mesden if your powers PRIOR to roleclaiming was just that of the PO (the ability to investigate) then why haven't we seen your role switched during the nights? With Dr. Strange turning Vigs into POs and BGs into killers, etc... why haven't we seen Frank Castle do something at night that wouldn't be POish? Also if your powers work the way you say they do, you won't be able to really kill anyone as long as Dr. Strange's powers are still going.

well, that's not actually the case.. the first night, Daredevil was a po (possibly broken) the second night he was a killer, the third he was a PO (possibly broken)
edit- I'm thinking nikose jjust has a die that he rolls for each night role that says what they change to when dr strange uses his powers

This makes me think one of two things. Either Daredevil's attempt to kill the first night was foiled by the mafia, who had a bodyguard like effect, so he became a PO. (Not sure why I wasn't killed). Or Dr. Stranges power makes people do random stuff, and doesn't care about being constant.

That actually makes good sense.
I'm just getting a bad Onslaught or Doomsday vibe coming from GM posts... Maybe we want as many people alive as possible to defeat some other threat? I mean look at how often bad guys and good guys team up to take out something that threatens everyone... Or else our random ass shit-all kill-all plan threatens Nikose's planned game and he's trying to get us not to do it... I dunno, I'll go with whatever the rest of you guys go with. UNVOTE
