Yeah... sorry about that. It was late, and I wrote it kind of in a hurry. The Bio is not my best work, and needs some alteration. The charracter still sucks pretty bad, and needs improvment.

Generally speaking, making some kind of record of alterations in another post makes the GM's job a lot easier.
I'd recommend elaborating on what you've changed too, since I'm having a hard finding them I look through your profile. I do see some things but a lot of them are vague changes, or just seem to be what you had before, but said in a different way. Quote:
It's basically a 50/50 gamble, assuming she doesn't have twins or something and complicate the matter. We, the Protectors, for various reasons, are trying to protect the Mother of Hell from people trying to A) Kill her to stop the End of the World (Read: Sealers, some religious orders, people who think the Status Quo is fine) or B) Demons who want the child to be a Half Demon or raised by Demons, because it's believed that such a child is guaranteed to bring about the End of the World. Simple, no? If it isn't, try re-reading the thread, I haven't said anything new.

Fantab: I got to agree with what Teal is saying. You changed some stuff...but only by making it vaguely less vague. And you didn't even address my biggest concern.
I'm sorry, but if you can't even get on board with the basic concept of the game, this is likely not the game for you. I'm going to have put the kibosh on your participation in this game. If you feel this is unfair, feel free to take it up with me via PM. I'm fact, I'm going to say the sign-ups are closed. We have enough people to get this started. If you still want me, PM me, and I'll see about setting up an "alternates list", in case we have a lot of drop-outs. Look for it to start tomorrow.

THERE'S STILL TIME!
Following up on my expression of interest: Name: Raine Lancaster Gender: Female Age: 18 Organization: The Society. Class: Magic Knight Appearance: Light brown eyes and auburn hair, Raine's of average height and has an athletic build. Her hair's trimmed at chin height, and she has a reserved dignity that's a little at odds with her age. Special Abilities: Raine is skilled at unarmed fighting and at using a sword. She's also extremely fit and agile. Sigils Raine knows a small but powerful selection of sigils. She can simply draw them if she has lost her normal charms, but the effect is generally inferior. Courage: To face demons requires great bravery. A long duration personal spell that enhances Raine's physical abilities. Activated by touching the sigil to her forehead; a green sigil remains there while it is active. It shines through attempts to conceal it. This pushes Raine's already formidable strength, speed and stamina up into supernatural levels. The power of courage is something to overcome all dangers, and Raine can push herself even further but it tears up her body. Integrity: The power to stand before an enemy's attacks and remain unharmed. On activation, it appears as a heavy gauntlet/cestus on the left hand, with the sigil on the back. It allows the creation of a defensive barrier around Raine, small and weak ones possible while she is mobile but a large, strong one needs her to be stationary. Additionally, the barrier can be expanded to neutralise the barriers of others. Resolve: The will to wield a destructive power. Activated, it appears to be a light gauntlet on the right hand, the sigil on the back of the hand. It allows blows to be imbued with immense destructive force, particularly strikes with that hand. Additionally, it can summon Resolute Infliction, a frighteningly large sword that Raine swings around as if it is weightless. Its cutting power is based on the user's willpower. With perfect focus, tuned destruction is possible, leaving parts of what is hit unharmed. For example, to cut through a pole while leaving the one in front of it unharmed. Very dangerous to attempt on living things. Two Powers In One: Simply the combination of the Integrity and Resolve charms. It allows strikes from a distance and the projection of a plane of cutting force. Humility: Sometimes a hero must let their deeds go unknown. While this sigil is active, it is difficult to remember any features of the user. It becomes difficult to pick them out of a crowd also. This one can be cast on another with no problem. Purity: Harmful to demons. A little different in that these are disposable seals that must be prepared in advance. Attached to a demon, they will degrade it's power, being used up as they do. This can also help remove possession. Placed on a door, they will render it temporarily impassable to demons and can ward a location. Placed on a person, they give a measure of protection against demonic attacks, although once again attacks will quickly destroy them. Bio: Born into the Society, Raine was trained from a young age to deal with the demonic threat. This was mostly handled by her father, as her mother died facing demons. Her talents in magic where not well suited to the more traditionally offensive type and so she moved into a field of enhancement, augmenting and adding to the properties of objects and living things. She studied with Tiana Arious for some time, as she was one of the leading researchers into magical enhancement. There was a pressing need to have agents able to stay near the Mother of Hell, as few were of an appropriate age, and so Raine volunteered. Equipment/Belongings: Raine has all of her sigils on a chain, in the manner of a charm bracelet. She carries a small number of throwing knives, three have purity seals attached. I addition to this, she carries another dozen purity seals. In cases where secrecy is not an issue, she has an outfit that's more designed for fighting than school clothes or casual wear. I'm wondering if perhaps I want one or two more sigils, since I'm feel there's something lacking. General intent was to make someone who can actually go up close with a demon without dying horribly. And some of the rest is to be able to stand up to such rare foes as People With Guns. Also slight tie in to Teal's character in the bio.

Arhra: Darn you and your late coming. But, alright...I'll let you slide in because you expressed desire before. And technically you came in before Saturday ended.
You had a whole 3 minutes to spare, according to my timezone. Everything look alright. I'd say you're good to go firepower wise for the time being. If after we start you feel as though you need more firepower, we'll talk about it then. And I don't mind the tie-in with Teal Mage's character as long as he is okay with it. Approved. ...And seriously...SIGN-UPS ARE CLOSED THIS TIME. SERIOUSLY. Doesn't matter if you had a place holder, uncomplete character, or what...'cause now it is official after Saturday, so you can't even exploit the loophole Arhra did.

I've been busy the last day or two. Sorry I didn't get back to you guys sooner. I wasn't finished making alterations. Does this mean I'm out? I'm up to changing the bio and positioning, and taking out anything you'd want taken out...

Fantab: Yes, you are out. The deadline has passed, and the game has started. Sorry.
EVERYONE ELSE (assuming you signed-up and got approved): Did I mention that the game started?

Ok so I was gone all weekend to a wedding out of town and I was promised free WiFi at the hotel. Turns out that promise was a lie and I was unable to make that character list.
Alright here it is! Arcanum's super fantabulous compilation of every character involved in the RP (with links!)! Characters are listed in order of appearance in the sign-up thread, and I'll be sure to re-post this at the beginning of every new discussion thread to ensure maximum convenience. Also might I add: Wow, 16 people. I think that's hte most I've seen in a non-Avvy RP. Even if we do have dropouts we still have plenty of people. Toastburner: Duncan McCragge Jared Greyhall Nathaniel Jackson Armored Bishujo: Pamelia Barsonne wight24: John Loftus Overcast: Richard Miles DanteFalcon: Damien Quarlel Gorefiend: Adam Morrey Hawk: Colonel Donald Wight BardTheFifthLightWarrior: Abdul-Rahim Krylo: Isamu Hikaru PyrosNine: Task Malben Arcanum Darkfire: Marcus Verreau Teal Mage: Lynn Arious Mauve Mage: Matthew Herald lazy man: Rob Brinford raptor200: Isaac Tanase Arhra: Raine Lancaster

I wonder; are there actually any normal teachers in this school?? I fear grades may slip if everyone's being taught by Protectors (although conversely, the survival rate should go up quite nicely).
So everyone will be alive, but unable to get jobs because of poor education!
