Pokébrids who are also Pokémon trainers are considered Battle Mages or Battle Magesses.
You can end up fighting that class as well, but my mind consistently sways towards combat with bigass Ruin types and non-Pokémon based enemies like military weapons, special forces, and the kinds of terrors that can only be awakened by the powers of a Ruin General. Just wait until you see how bad things get when the Bug Ruin General hits town. Won't be nearly as bad as seeing how big the Bug Ruin General will be in size. As far as the Pokéshift looks, I envision it as the person floating up and being surrounded in some kind of digitizing field where their body is digitally altered from one form to the next, like he's a program or something. Then again, the process should be as simple and easy-looking as switching a Plasmid in Bioshock. The genes're there, just swap 'em. Last edited by Astral Harmony; 03-13-2010 at 05:07 AM. |

Military, fuck yeah!
I'm envisioning this huge battle between high-tech military forces, with pokemon, trainers, slayers and ruin types intermingling. Imagine, a hail of artillery comes down on a charging front of Rhyperiors, but then Charizards swoop down, destroy the artiller with flamethrower, only to be attacking by missile-launcher batteries. Under the sea, submarines are frantically trying to find a swarm of wailord using sonar, the crew's last words are "Contact! Right behind us!" at which point they get hit by wailord giga-impacts. It will be awesome. Oh, and is it cool if I assume that Homnyr has had a military division composed entirely of Slayers, and that Impact was part of this? |

Gotta wonder how a Ruin/Steel type will look.
EDIT: Battle Mage applies to both genders, no need for Battle Magessess.

Well, the pure ruin type that we saw in the first mission still looked pretty buggy, so a combined version with ruin types might be plated with armors and steel claws and fangs or something to that nature.
Anyhow, off to work for a few hours. ^^ |

Forget about that, I just realized just how powerful a Ruin/Steel type would be.
They'd only have a 2x weakness to Dragon, and even that wouldn't do too well given the combined toughness of Ruin and Steel.

Fair work, everyone. First battle's over. Forgive any horrible grammatical and spelling errors as I'm often so tired from finishing the post that I don't take the extra time to proofread it for obvious stupidity on my part.
It's straight up Pokémon brawlin' all around. |

Actually, I was using Blizzard to hit the Mononokes, but I should've specified. Whatever, we won.

Argh. I was meaning to switch weapons between battles, go from ghost rifle to psychic rifle. Would have been useful too. Didn't get the opportunty.
Course, if you take my word for it that I was going switch to psychic before I knew this was coming, I can go Dual Weaknesses on Toxicroak's ass. Yeah, let's do that. |
