The change isn't good. The entire point of pokebrids is that they save up their power, being useful for a while, before becoming a juggernaut for a few turns. That works.
Give them the ability to go superpowered "at will", for just a turn at a time, and they're way more powerful, since they've got massive stats when they need them, and when they don't, they're gathering rage for when they do. Really strong.

Rayleen: "And last but not least, number of times Armored Bishoujo inserted Internet memes into our dialogue: over nine-thousaaaaand!"
Irene: "Let's just leave the mess for tomorrow morning. I don't see any more fire so I think we can go rest for tonight. Just remember to get up early so we can clean up and still buy gifts for tomorrow night. Watchmen dismissed."
