Repetition of a joke does not increase its humor value, and dedication to that joke implies a certain degree of agreement with that joke.

Wait, it's only been 3 pages since I quoted that line? I coulda sworn it'd been at least a week or more since that even came up. Like, I thought that if I made it any more blatant it'd be unfunny, and that if I made it less blatant, nobody would get that I was quoting to be funny.

Well, all I can tell you is that it really is just me quoting a line for humor value. It's about as serious as any time I quote the line "addiction is a powerful thing".

I quite honestly thought that the only way I could make the joke more blatant would be to add a ™ after the line.

Actually, can we not? I feel horrified to have caused this kinda argument by throwing out the quote in the first place. I wish I had stayed on this forum for more of the day, so that I could've defused this. To be completely clear, I like the outfits, I think a tribal AU is interesting, and I'm fine with it being a slashfic. I pulled out the line because it was, in my opportunity, the perfect moment for it. I'm fine with just about any fic or drawing, so long as it isn't smut.

Like, I'm frickin' Doctor Frankenstein over here, and this argument is Adam. I leave it to you to figure out who Elizabeth is in this tortured metaphor.

Back to the metaphor, I'm actually not sure what Elizabeth would be. What, in this situation, would equate with Frankenstein's (my) wife that the creature (this argument) strangles to death on my wedding night?
