Dead Last- Old Man's War, 1984, Cthulhu Mythos. Sorry, Nik, Igligiel, 42, but those aren't in the genre.
#6 and up: Mad Max, Shawn of the Dead, Fallout, Half-Life 2, Blood of Heroes. I havn't seen any of these, though I plan to see many of them. #5: Doom- It is indeed fun, but the story is minimal, though enjoyable. #4: 28 Days Later- Great zombie movie, though horror movies aren't really my cup of tea. #3: Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy- Great book, but more comedic than apocalyptic. #2: Chicken Little- The sheer hilarity of thinking of Chicken Little as apocalyptic fiction earns POS 2nd place. (POS Industries) #1: The Stand- An awesome book, and one of Steven King's best books, in my opinion. (Hawk) Hawk is the winner! Though incidentally, the real answer is The Road, by Cormac McCarthy, which is one my favorite books ever, of any genre. It's the only book I've ever read that made me cry. |
