You have to accept the job from the Turion. I know it's not a paragon response, but you have to do it to make the plot go. You get goodie points afterwords, so don't worry about it

Edit: Also, did they just design the council to PISS YOU OFF? Even on my full paragon path I let them die "for the greater good"....ie, I wanted them DEAD

Yeah, you're right.
Instead of not allowing people to die, I have to take a "I'll try not to hurt people, but in the end I'll go running in like Rambo" approach.

I got through that part, by the way, in case you couldn't tell.

I got along just fine with the council on my first playthrough, but I think if you're anything less than super nice to them, they're complete assess, which means you're a complete ass to them, and it turns into a never ending spiral.

Specifically on my paragon run after Noveria the council was like What the hell are you doing letting the Rachni queen live??

and then on Renegade when I killed the queen they were all OMGWTF did you need to genocide an entire race??

Eventually I just stopped contacting them after I finished planets...hehe
