Star Wars: Chapter Negative 35, Spice Lords of Naboo (Team Not-So Good)

The room was mostly empty, save the wounded and unconscious body of the guard on the ground near the door. A chair was knocked over near a table in the center of the room, and a deck of sabbac cards was strewn about haphazardly. Maybe the guard had been practicing against himself before he had been so rudely interrupted?

Either way, what truly drew Velmont's attention was the computer console against the wall. It was likely to contain information on all of the ships, and maybe even a way to open the doors.

Either way, they needed into that system. If they tried to leave from this pad without launch codes, they'd be swarmed by fighters in minutes even in the best of times, and this was during a full scale alarm.

"Eh!" Velmont turned and said down the hall to the others, "Get yer butts down 'ere! I spotted the computer console for the launch codes! I'd try breakin' into it but my skills with those things ain't exactly top notch."

While they do that, I'm going to help myself to what these bloody guards are carryin' first Velmont thought to himself with a grin.

He then started patting down the guards and checking to see whatever they had on their belonging. No point in opening the door till they got the codes anyways. And standing around doing nothing bore's him to tears.

Velmont is looting the guards for whatever they may posses that interests him. He doesn't really care about the rifles though.

Jolis followed Velmont looked over him real quick. "You're not going to die but don't push it. Doctors orders."

Yeah! Don't thank me or anything! Only just saved your life. I need a new job. If I can even find one after this

Jolis walked over to the computer and got to work.

Jolis's unskilled attempts to fumble through the computer's security floundered at first, but he quickly got lucky and found a significantly sized backdoor in the system, gaining full access to the computer system and all data within roughly ten minutes.

He was able to quickly shut down the alarm and download the security codes for all the locked down ships as well as launch codes to get off planet. Some footsteps could still be heard running back and forth in nearby hallways, but they quickly dissipated with the alarm shut down. It probably wouldn't be long until someone came by to check the area however, and make sure everything was fine.

They'd have to hurry if they wanted to get off planet without further incidents.

"G'Job, there matey," Jack said, slapping a hand on Jolis's shoulder, "Now let's get us a ship and get back ta space. I'm a bit tired o' this place, eh?"

"Captain, that is the smartest thing I have ever heard," said Jolis as he slipped the datapad into his jacket. He also grabbed the sabbac cards and tucked them in his pocket.

Never know when a good deck of cards will be useful.

"Alright captain, your pick," said Jolis with a toothy smile. He had hated their old ship. If he was going to be on the run, might as well do it on a good ship.

Velmont sighed, the worthless guards didn't drop anything. He bent down and picked up the rifle from the guard who destroyed the droid and nearly killed him and slung it over his shoulder. He was going to take something from this trip.

He looked over at the door and examined the card. First he'll test the door, then try the card. If all else fails, he'll just pick the damn lock.

"Well mates," Velmont said with a grin. "Best get ready as I'm gonna be openin' these blasted doors. I say we find the most protected fast ship in 'ere and bust out. I don't wanna be stuck in a clunker if them fighters decide to give us an escort outta 'ere eh."

He then shook his head and went over to check the door.

"Watch my front and back if ya please," He said with a chuckle, "not sure I can 'andle another shot."

Alright, Test door to see if its locked, If it's locked use the card to see if it unlocks it, otherwise pick the lock open.

After the guard dropped unconscious Liflo went into the room with everyone else. He would have also looked into hacking the computer but he was distracted in mindless thought for too long and Jolis jumped the gun. Somehow by an act of divinity or shoddy security he was able to hack through. When all was done Liflo finally snapped out of his self induced trance.

“Sorry about that guys, what happened.” He said just as he noticed that everyone else was leaving and heading out to find a ship. “Wait for me. Damn, your mind wanders off and everyone takes you for dead.”

"A fast ship would be best, a heavily armored one would most likely just slow us down as we try to maneuver our way through fighters into the jump to lightspeed."

As Velmont moved to check the door, Jack reached past Jolis and tapped a single button on the control pad, causing the great blast doors to slide open easily, and revealed a large Mark IV Assault Droid that appeared to have only recently been powered up, and back down. Thankfully. Apparently it had reacted to the alarms much as the turrets outside.

Jack rushed out and skirted around the large machine looking over all the ships, "Well boys," he said with a grin, "Looks like we've found ourselves a ride... now... which one shall we.."

"HALT!" Spinning around the small group saw a number of guards at the end of the hallway, one was moving to power back on the alarms. Thinking quickly, Jack pulled his pistol and fired on the blast door controls, the large doors smashing closed just behind the small group, and leaving them alone with droid.

Then the alarm started, and it slowly started to come to life.

Jack merely pointed at a nearby Dynamic Class Freighter and started running.

Assault droid isn't on yet, it has no shields and is fully vulnerable. It WILL be on within a few rounds, however.

I can't promise how long it will take for the guards to get the door open either.

"Nice thinking captain" Jolis was starting to gain some respect for their glorious leader.

He slipped the datapad with all the command codes for the ship out and located their new ship. He sprinted(as much as he could sprint) towards the ship and got to work getting into the ship.

He's going to ignore the driod, but I am assuming the codes to get into the ship was on the info I sliced. So..Action: Get us out of here.

Velmont sort of starred at the droid for a brief second before hearing guards yell at them to halt.

"NO! Ya daft idiotic fragin' sarlac lovers" Velmont shouted back at them before the door shut. It was a stupid insult but he felt better after shouting it. He was still smarting from the blast after all.

He followed Jack's finger to the Freighter and sprinted after him. He didn't really feel up to tangling with a droid just right now.

"Well then mates!" Velmont grinned, "Lets get the frag outta 'ere."
