"Information Control" is literally nothing but manipulating people's emotions and fooling them. You're counting on them reacting in a certain way to a certain piece of information, so you can exert control over them by giving them certain pieces of information. They can react emotionally (in which case you'd be manipulating people's emotions) or rationally (in which case you'd be fooling them).

There. I referred to both, emotional and rational manipulation. Or did I misinterpret Matt's usage of "fooling"? If so, then apologies. But it did sound like a direct criticism of Impact's method of operation, and since his method isn't limited to emotional manipulation, neither was Matt's criticism (or so I thought).

And thing is, you're not likely to get into a position of information control without extensive emotional manipulation. At least, in this RP.

Bard, Impact needs a way to make Charlotte stay in line. He can either be nice to her and let her break a lot of kneecaps. Or he can control her the way she controls, say, Spitz, by striking fear into her heart. Considering that she appears to be a very phsyical individual, this would involve equally physical conflict punishment. Also, possibly, sex. Carrot and the stick, y'know?
I prefer carrot, mind you... but I want to be able to use stick, should it become necessary.

Y'know, let's address that. Hey, AB, what would the effect of dual-classing to demon be? I would have assumed that it's just stats bonuses, but how would that benefit, say, Menarker's breeder?

Oh, and Dark Abyss still seems a little strong. It's still stronger than spore, anyway. Hell, even if you removed the whole "Nightmare" effect altogether, it'd be at spore strength, which is pretty good.

Maybe give it original strength (100% sleep, inflicts nightmare without fail), but Enmakki needs a turn to recharge after using it?

Mind you, I didn't mind if Pierce got it as long as I got powerful moves too. (I hope there was no huge issues with the move I provided as a sample), but just for your reference, the recharge time is less of a downside than you would think because Enmakki's ability ensures that it'll deal an additional portion of damage if the pokemon is asleep.

But yes, the revised move sounds better. ^^

And god, everyone (Pierce) is ragging on Renny again. First he's supposably gay, now he's supposed to be the Alpha Female. >_>

Yes, but I don't want you to get powerful moves. Though that Umbreon thing seems ok... or does it? Your explanation is a bit confusing. Is it "Pick target A and B. Everything that would've hit target A instead hits target B"?

And even if the enemy's still taking damage, one idle turn is still a turn in which it could have been Dark Abyss-ing another pokemon. I think it's balanced that way.

Your interpretion of the move is correct. It's basically a different version of Follow Me although it weakens AOE moves that would target that one instead of redirecting. Hell, if I wanted to be an asshole, I could use Scapegoat to prevent just about all attacks from hitting Impact, and have them hit Pierce's Tyranitar instead. Impact be all happy and Pierce be all pissed.

Mind you, it can be very strategic. If there are a horde of electric pokemons on the enemy side, and we got a water pokemon and a ground type pokemon on our side, normally you would expect some of those electric types to try to attack the water type with electric moves... I can use Scapegoat to redirect all attacks from the water pokemon to the ground pokemon and any of those attacks that are electric type would be negated due to ground type immunity to those.

As for your comment on Dark Abyss, I realized that. I said that it wasn't as MUCH as a drawback as it would normally be. I still think it's a damn good move but balanced for sure. I got no complaints.

Nothing short of Phantomere about to perform his final attack has actually struck fear into her yet. Impact alone is a far-cry from Phantomere.
