RP Technology Timeline

I made something like this for another RP and figured it would be a good concept to share. Basically its a rough generalization of technology at various time periods. Most of it seems like duh but still.
Stone Age-Primative stone tools are fashioned

Bronze Age- Simple metal crafting begins

Iron Age- simular to bronze, mechanical machines also become used.

Exploration Age- Chemicals like gun powder begin being used.

Atomic Age- Flight, underwater exploration, and nuclear technologies are created and perfected. Radio, television, and telephone communication are also created.

Space Age- Satelites and rockets enter space. Allowing for planetary communication.

Computer Age- Computers and circuits are created. (basically modern age)

Stellar Age- Interplanetary travel has begone. Thanks to the increase in resources large crafts are now being made such as space battleships, colonies, and perhapps mechs.

Cosmic Age- Interstellar travel is possible and energy manipulation is developing allowing for energy weapons and shields. Contact with alien races is almost garenteed at this point.

Galactic Age- Technology has reached the point where intergalactic travel is possible. Energy and matter manipulation is now advanced enough to make ships and weapons strong enough to destroy solar systems.

Dimensional Age- The laws of physics are now easily altered. Matter and energy can easily be converted allowing for the creation of nearly anything.

If anyone has anything to add feel free to tell me. Also this is a general time-line and technologies can be intermixed.

I don't think this is meant to be an RP...just a little guide-line to help people define what...er..."time" their RP is occuring in. I could of used this when I was drawning up my Locusts RP.

What happened to that RP, Toastburner? I was really looking forward to it...

By the way, Aero, this is a very helpful timeline. Maybe it should get stickied?

It's taking longer than I expected to hash out all the weapons and gear and stuff. I would of said it on that thread...but I already double posted once on it, and I didn't want to push my luck.

actually the proto-timeline (the original is somewhere here) was used in a RP where there are several dimensionals each having technology on different levels. So I used this for profile purposes. Then I realized it would be a great tool for making RPs, so there it is. I will most likely update from time to time. Oh and if you think it should be stickied by all means tell the mods and they just might do that.

Hmm time traveling RP does sound like a good idea though. In fact after writing this I couldn't help but think about making a dimensional age RP.
