TBS Fan-thread
To all those that enjoy RTS games, please refer to my RTS thread. THIS IS A STRICTLY TURN BASED STRATEGY THREAD! If you are a TBS fan, please stay. Talk about any TBS games, units, strategies, etc. I guess that I'll start off; does anyone else think that Medievil 2: Total War looks good? Does anyone have it (if so, please, do tell)? I have had an awesome time with Rome: Total War.
Favorite Units: Missile Cav. (any type) Elephants Scythed Chariots Phalanx Spearmen (pikemen, nubian spearmen, etc.) General Cav. Favorite Factions: All Roman Factions Greece Egypt Favorite Strategy: Cav. Flanking (open areas) (bridges) Something like this: \\_____// (all phalanxes) Favorite Seige Weapon: Tower (if it can be counted) Please share other things like this, but try to slant toward strategies, mainly. |

Heroes III, and all expansions...
Sim City 2000+ (You can pause it, so it's SORT of turn-based...) The Sid Meier Collection.... Otherwise, not into TBS 'warfare' games, but TBS strategy games are TOTALLY my wave. |

Usually, I really tend to dislike play playing TBS games, but I really loved playing Paper Mario. It's the one TBS game that I truly had a lot of fun playing.

Sim city isn't a TBS. It's not even strategy, it's a management sim. Also Total war is half RTS and half TBS, because the battles are in real time.
Recently I was playing Field Commander on PSP. Man that game's addictive!

Uhh Paper Mario is a TB RPG, like DQ and the old FFs. As for me Heroes of Might and Magic is an old favourite, 4 was a let down and haven't got a hold of 5 yet though.

X-Com for the win!
Seriously, there needs to be a turn-based sequel to X-Com. And, no, Terror from the Deep doesn't count. I mean a new one, with shiny graphics and shit.

Disgaea 1 and 2, Makai Kingdom, and more or less all the games NIS makes are bitching. Of course FFT is good, and Front Mission, those games are sweet, same with Super Robot.
