Avatar question

Forgive me if this is the wrong board to ask, just curious as to where most of the posters get their 8-bit avatars from, as I wouldn't mind having one myself. Is there a general site people use, or am I just missing a link on the nuklearpower page? Thanks in advance for any help.

People get their avatars from various places - sites, comics, videogames, or they make themselves...

If you see somethin you like, hit the PrintScrn button above insert and next to scroll lock, open up Paint or something like that, and hit the paste button. Viola. Stretch/Skew to 100x100 and youre set.

If you're looking for one of those card avatar thingies, search around and you'll find about a half-dozen threads about them.

Forgive me if I sound mean, but this type of thread has been up many many times. I will say that everybody gets their avatars in many different ways.

People like me search the internet for websites that host avatars until I find one I like.
Some people are talented and make custom avatars for themselves in Photoshop or even paint.
I think the last group of people find a picture they like on the internet, often from 8-bit theater, and crop it in paint until they get it how they like.

In the spirit of helping, I have some more cowboy bebop avatars that I would be willing to give you if you wanted them. I know some other people know of some good sites you can search for avatars. And even some people like creating avatars for other people. Good luck.

i made my own, i dont know how to make the animated ones but heres one you can have from me with your name on it.

I have another suggestion... google images. Type in "X Avatar" and it will usually come up with something appropriately sized. If not you can stretch or shrink or whatever.
