Default Agents of Death: Sign-up

Sorry for the delay. Nothing kills the urge to sit in front of a computer and write a sign-up post like a light-sensitive headache.

Anyways, welcome to the Agents of Death sign-up. Usually, this is where I throw up some flavor text…but this is late enough as it is, so let’s just cut to the “important” stuff.

Death, Reapers, and Agents

Not much is know about the entity that calls himself Death. From appearance alone, he is completely nondescript. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about how is looks is how utterly forgettable he is. He acts as though his duty to gather the dead and shepherd them off to whatever fate awaits them is little more than a business. He is, by no means, a bloodthirsty being, but by that same token, he isn’t altruistic, either. Everyone’s time comes, and when it does, it is his job to make sure there is someone there to lead them out of the Veil.

The Veil

The Veil is the realm of Death, and exists parallel with the world that humans know. It is an exact copy, save that colors are faded out, and that the contrast between light and dark is much more defined…”soft shadows” do not appear in the Veil, only light and the absence there off. This contrast is more than just cosmetic, and relates to the power of reapers and agents. While in light in the Veil, Death’s agents can move extremely quickly. However, to cross between the Veil and the living world, an Agent must be entirely immersed in shadow.

Only the dead, those near death, or those in Death’s employ can exist in the Veil. It is in the Veil that Agents will be at their most powerful. Of course, this means that those they hunt will be found in the living world.

The Enemies of Death

Basically, what the Agents of Death hunt can be broken down into two categories:

Undead are those who have physically died, but have not crossed over into the Veil. Ghosts are the most common type of this…but ghosts generally lack malign intent, and are merely those who “fell between the cracks”, and are generally harmless, and will eventually be gathered by common reapers. However, some “spirits” will go on become poltergeists, wraiths, shadows, or any number of creature that prey upon living beings to keep themselves from withdrawing into the Veil. Some spirits even claim dead tissue as their own, which is where zombies, vampires, revenants and the like come from. However, like their disembodied cousins, these too much steal life, lest they fall into the Veil and become easy prey for Death’s agents.

Immortals are, categorically, much more dangerous and harder to hunt than undead. While the undead are still technically dead, and as such Agents have some power over them, Immortals are those who have resisted Death to the point where they have never died. While the dream of immortality has almost always existed, true immortality comes at a high cost. More often than not, like the undead, immortals must prey on the living, albeit in this case to supplement their own life force. The danger of immortals also comes from the fact they cannot be categorized like undead can. When you got to face an immortal, you could face anything from a master swordsman to an expert of forgotten magic…there’s no telling.

Theoretically, you could have to face rogue reapers or agents. However, this is an extremely rare occurrence, as Death only offers deals to those he knows he can trust to fulfill them. In the event of a rogue, teams of agents are sent out to destroy the rebelling party. As mentioned, however, this is an extremely rare occurrence.

Undead and Immortals are something that “reapers”, collectors of the dead, cannot handle on their own. And while Death himself would be able to defeat them, there are too many for him to track down himself and keep the business of death working smooth.

As such, Death has Agents to deal with that sort of thing.

Agents of Death

Agents are those that Death has picked to hunt down the undead and immortals. While, on the surface, Agents appear to be a type of undead, they defy that categorization by the fact that they can move between the Veil and the living will of their own will, and do not need life force to sustain their powers.

To become an Agent, you must make a Deal with Death. This deal is instigated by Death, and usually happens when a person is within seconds of physically dying. The deal, more often than not, involves extending the life of the agent-to-be’s loved ones, of ending the life of an enemy…sometimes both. The Deal doesn’t last forever, either a set period of time is decided on when the Deal is struck, or it is in relation to the terms of a deal. For example, if a person becomes an Agent to give his child long life, the Deal is only binding for so long as the child lives. Any time after this, an Agent can close to leave the employ of Death, and to face the great beyond like any other human being. After decades of hunting powerful, life stealing maniacs, this may seem like a good alternative.

It should be noted that Agents are not indestructible. If an Agent is destroyed, he joins of the ranks of those who are shepherded by reapers. Under no means will Death promise outright immortality, and he offers no special privileges to reapers or agents who fall in battle…eventually, everyone must face the great unknown.

Obviously, to take on those who acquire Death’s ire, when a person becomes an Agent, they become powerful in their own right. All agents possess strength and speed far beyond that of humans. They also possess the ability to force undead into the Veil. For weak undead such as ghosts, this is a sure thing. However, anything above a simple ghost is much harder to force to cross over. Despite this, even a failed attempt at a forced crossover will stun and hurt an undead, the effects of which, of course, depend on how powerful the undead is. This is less useful against Immortals, as they have not died, and as such, cannot enter the Veil until they are near death.

Each agent also has two or three “weapons of choice”. These are weapons that they carry on them at all times, and can take them in and out of the Veil. These weapons are also more effective against undead and immortals than “normal” weapons would be. Anything can be turned into a weapon of choice, from wooden clubs to guns. However, just because a weapon changed in this way doesn’t mean the agent is skilled with it, i.e.: a agent who died in the 1500s wouldn’t know how to use a gun without being trained on it, and a agent who died in the 1980s probably wouldn’t know how to use a sword unless they put some time aside to train in it.

Every agent is also given a gray jacket in some form or another. Not only is this the badge of an agent’s office, it is their protection. In the mortal plane, the jacket is much like a bullet proof vest: it can help to keep an attack from being fatal, but it doesn’t necessarily cancel it out altogether. In the Veil, the jacket is much stronger, acting as a shield that will deflect most attacks.

So, details aside, let’s get on to sign-up part of this sign-up.

Name: Obvious.

Gender: Equally obvious.

Birth date / Death date: A little different from your normal RP fare. This not only sets your characters “age”, but also what time period they are from.

Appearance: Back to the obvious stuff. Please include what your “gray jacket” looks like. Please note that it doesn’t have to be a jacket if you don’t want it to be.

Background: The events of your life, up to, and including, your death.

Terms of the Deal: The terms you hashed out with Death to become an Agent. If you are still serving after the Deal has expired, please explain why.

Weapons of Choice/Talents: This is where you declare your weapons of choice, as well as any special talents you might have. Please keep talents somewhat “realistic”…no magic or anything like that. If you think you can justify an agent with magic, go ahead and try, but it will be a hard sell. Really, there is a enough times and places you can choose from that you shouldn’t have to default o “ZOMG MAGIKC!”

Notes(Optional): It’s kinda like the “Notes” page they have in video game instruction manuals. Everyone has one, no one uses ‘em.

Now, the examples:

Name: Jacque Pierre Delacroix

Gender: Male

Birth date / Death date: June 21, 1763 – November 10th, 1793

Appearance: Jacque is of average height and slim build. His brown hair is tied back into a short ponytail. Despite his history, he is dressed in a modern suit, and his gray jacket is in the form of a trench coat. He claims that just because his is from the old world doesn’t mean he has to look like it. Besides…new clothes are much more comfortable.

Background: Jacque was born into the privileged classes of France, early in the summer of 1763. During his childhood, Jacque had no idea what was stirring among the less privileged peoples of France, as he grew up in relative comfort, and married at the age of 27.

His marriage, however, was to be short lived. Three years afterwards, the French Revolution was staged. Delacroix, a born aristocrat, had the misfortune of being branded “an enemy of the revolution” by the Committee of Public safety, along with his wife. In an attempt to save her life, Jacque sent her away to England, and drew the attention of Revolutionary agents away from her at the cost of himself being caught. Jacque Pierre Delacroix was among the thousands executed during the “Reign of Terror”.

Terms of the Deal: Death appeared to Delacroix as he was strapped in the guillotine, and made him the offer to become an agent. Jacques condition was simple: the life of whomever it was who betrayed him and his wife to the Committee of Public Safety. For this, Jacques pledged his loyalty for at least a century. Death agreed. About a week later, both Madame Delacroix and her lover, a revolutionary agent, were beheaded on the grounds of treason. The irony was not lost on Jacques, but he served his time as an Agent diligently.

The Deal has since expired, but Delacroix has chosen to remain on as an Agent. When asked why, Jacque will joke that he wants to make sure that there are no more revolutionaries roaming in France, but in truth, he is scared of what awaits him after he leaves the service of Death. Truth be told, he didn’t lead the purest life when he was alive, and he is not keen to find out if Hell really does exists.

Weapons of Choice/Talents: Jacque favors a rapier as his weapon of choice, and is skilled in it’s use. He also carries a dagger as a back-up weapon, and a flintlock pistol as a ranged weapon. Jacque is a skilled swordsman, both in the use of the rapier alone, or in combination with the dagger. Sadly, even centuries of experience have done little more than to make him a somewhat decent shot with firearms.

Name: Karen Dobson

Gender: Female

Birth date / Death date: February 16, 1980 – April 2, 2008

Appearance: Karen is of Irish descent, as looks the part with red hair and green eyes. She’s a little on the tall side, and trim and fit. Her gray jacket is also in the style of a trench coat, and she is dressed in a modern t-shirt and jeans.

Background: Karen’s childhood was almost comically stereotypically Irish. Her father was a life long cop, and she when she was old enough, she followed in his footsteps and become a police officer herself. It was in school that she meet her husband, and they were married shortly after she graduated. A few years later, they had a daughter.

The last day of Karen’s life was a rainy one. Her daughter, Catherine, had just turned three, and the family was going out of town for the weekend to celebrate. However, they would never make it. A big rig in the incoming lane of traffic lost control, and slide into the lane right in front of Karen’s car. While both her husband and daughter survived the crash, Karen died.

Terms of the Deal: Obviously, the terms of Karen’s deal involves her family. In return for her services, Death promised that both her husband and daughter will live for as long as is allowable, and Karen’s Deal will come to a close when both of them are dead. At this point, Karen plans on leaving the employ of Death as soon as the Deal comes to a close.

Weapons of Choice/Talents: Karen, being brought up by a father who believed in the right to bear arms, is an expert shot, and carries two pistols as her weapons of choice. She never chose a melee weapon, as she is unskilled in any of them. In her short career as an Agent, her talent with firearms has thus far justified her decision.

If you have any questions about the setting or such, ask them here, as I’m sure I did a horrible job of explaining and that everyone would benefit from clarification. If you just want a character concept approved, ask here or PM me.

Name: Seargent Mark Davies

Gender: Male

Birth date / Death date: January 5th 1922 - October 16th, 1944

Appearance: Well built, muscular, with short dark hair. He dresses in slightly old fashioned clothing from his own time, including a pair of worn out leather boots and a leather bikers jacket (his grey cloak), inspired by his love of bikes. A typically WWII era, slightly weathered look.

Background: Mark grew up in Britain at a rather unfortunate time; between two world wars, and unluckily for him was just about old enough to be recruited when the second one came around. He wasn't exactly happy about it, but having yet to find a purpose in life he was willing to join the war and see if he could make a difference. He joined the war during the invasion of Normandy, and with his friends and comrades they stormed the beaches and pushed into France, defying all odds. But it was not to be, later that year his squad was ambushed and Mark was cut down in a hail of machinegun fire. Then of course, Death appeared, and offered a deal...

Terms of the Deal: Deaths deal was simple; he would see his army buddies safely through the war and extend their lives as long as he could, and in exchange Mark would become an Agent. Mark accepted, wanting nothing more than to see his friends live and get through this terrible war. Only one of his former comrades still lives now, and his end is drawing near. Mark knows his time is nearly up, but still hasn't decided what to do once the deal runs out.

Weapons of Choice/Talents: A pair of Browning Hi-Power handguns and a Thompson M1A1 submachinegun (for "tricky situations"), all equipment similar to those used during Marks army life. Naturally he has some army training (rushed as it was during the time) and real life experiance to go along with his now decades long service to Death. He's a pretty good shot, as you'd expect.

Looks like I'm our WWII vet then. Good times. I know you said 3 weapons, but the knife is... just a knife, in case things get personal.

EDIT; Knife removed.

Name: Andrew Maclenahan

Gender: Male

Born: 1898
Died: 1942

Appearance: A well-built middle aged man, beginning to gray and developing a bit of a paunch but still in good shape for his age. 6'1, green eyes, light brown hair with streaks of grey. His grey jacket takes the form of a British Army style trench coat.

Background: A poor farmer's son from Saskatchewan, Andrew grew up near poverty. After his father's death in 1914, he joined the military to support his ailing mother. During his service he met a Belgian girl and when the war was over decided to stay in Belgium and settle down with her. He bought some land and started his own farm. He soon became quite successful, and he and his wife had two sons together. After World War Two started, Andrew's farm near the border of Belgium and France became a Resistance waystation for people trying to escape the country. After over a year of successfully protecting dissenters, Andrew was finally exposed. A truck full of Nazis arrived at his house in the dead of night, and demanded that he surrender. When Andrew refused, they set the farmhouse on fire, meaning to burn him out and capture him. His wife and son managed to escape the house, but had run straight into the Nazis, and now the officer in charge had his pistol pointed at his wife's head. The officer demanded that he surrender, or his wife would be shot. Andrew stepped out of the house, holding his old rifle. With a sigh, he held it out to the nearest soldier. Smiling, the officer pulled the trigger. With a cry of rage, Andrew grabbed his rifle back from the Nazi and stabbed the bayonet into the officer's throat. The officer fell to the ground with a look of pure surprise on his face as his men gunned Andrew down.

Terms of the Deal: Andrew asked Death to protect his son, and in exchange Andrew would become his Agent. Andrew's son is still alive, but is quite old. However, he doesn't look like he's going to die any time soon, so Andrew's going to be an Agent for at least another decade.

Weapons/ Talents: Andrew's still got his Ross Rifle from WW1, and has kept it in good condition. While a lot of soldiers disliked the Ross for its unreliable nature, Andrew prefered the extra accuracy the Ross provided. He also carries a U.S. M1917 Trench Knife he picked up during the war. Andrew is an excellent shot, and not bad in hand to hand either. He's also quite good at fixing mechanical things; whenever something broke on the farm, he was the one who had to get it working again.

Astral Harmony will become famous soon enough. Eventually. Maybe.

Name: Crocetta Russo

Gender: Female

Birth date / Death date: April 4, 1941 - Jan 16, 1963 (22 years old)

Appearance: 5' 2", long black hair and pale green eyes with a delightful figure. She's updated her clothing style as the decades passed, and wears a small black leather jacket with black denim pants and sneakers. A small gray zipped up sleeveless leather vest is her gray jacket.

Background: Born unto a mafioso father in the Sicilian Mafia and a mother who was displeased with her husband's employment, Crocette grew up with love and kindness despite the apparent criminal element. It wasn't very unsurprising when her older brother Arturo joined, determined to become a worthy member. Crocetta, despite her mother's protests, helped her father and brother as an associate and, concerned for her safety in this matter, both men gave Crocetta some training in case she should ever happen to be in a dangerous situation.

Crocetta seemed to have secured a much safer future for herself when she became a nun, but things didn't turn out as her mother had hoped when Crocetta was struck by a stray bullet from a deadly crossfire during the First Mafia War.

Terms of the Deal: Crocetta made a deal with Death, offering her mafia-trained skills for the protection of her father and brother. Her contract was for one century. To this day, both are dead, though not from conflicts within the mafia.

Weapons of Choice/Talents: Crocetta has decent training in the use of baseball bats and handguns, and carries one of each. She also has a Tommy Gun, but hasn't trained much in its use and could definitely use some work.

Name: Oroles son of Moskon

Gender: Male

Birth date / Death date: May 9, 200 B.C. - August 7, 172 B.C.

Appearance: Oroles ir an extremely large man, rippling with muscles earned through the death of others. His body is scarred all over due wounds that never fully healed, his brown hair is kept straight and short so as to not get in the way of battle. His blue eye look as if they had seen eras come and go, he is a monument to the past dressed in modern clothing.

Oroles left his his culture and heritage behind long ago, he now wears Jeans instead of fur, T-Shirts and Jackets instead of Vests and Armor. Lucky for him the in thing now was to be extremely muscular and ripped as they would call it. His Grey Jacked is the long white duster he wears.

Background: Oroles was the son of Moskon leader of the Dacian people. Oroles was an ingenious tactician and battlefield commander but he was an ever better in the thick of things. Being the first born of his father's seed meant that the mantle of leadership would pass to him, something that his younger brothers did not seem to like very much.

Oroles took many wives from himself and sired many sons, and at the age of 28 he took his fathers mantle when Moskon died of an unknown disease. His period of leadership was short-lived though, because his brothers plotted against him. They planned to kill him in his sleep and then rule together as a group or council. On August 7th 172 B.C. They finally succeeded in getting him so drunk that he never saw the knife that stabbed him in the neck. That night all his wives and children were slaughtered, all but his youngest son.

Terms of the Deal: The deal that Oroles made with death would be that one of his sons would survive the brutal murders to come and that he would be smuggled to a far away land. That his bloodline would continue far into the future and come back to their homeland with an army, to conqueror it and put it under an iron fist. Many years later a man known as Traianus Augustus marched on Dacia and conquered it, putting it under the rule of Rome. With his contract obviously completed by now Oroles is still an Agent of Death because this is Heaven to him, battle against the most powerful enemies. This is Heaven, a warriors Heaven. He will leave when he dies a second time.

Weapons of Choice/Talents: Oroles number one weapon of choice is his large Two handed battle axe, with it he had cleaved many heads and limbs. Oroles has many many many years to training with his Battle Axe, so much so that he calls it by name “Dragon Claw”. Dragon claw is a gleaming white axe, that has a two equal heads both of which look sharp enough to rend steel.

His second weapon of choice are is a smaller axe. The axe is black, black as the night, with crimson being the color of the blade. It is called “Abyss”. Oroles is very well versed in their use.

His final weapon is a throwing axe known as “Kronos” Kronos is a small throwing axe, almost as small as hatchet, but this time size doesn't matter for its blade is the sharpest in his arsenal. Oroles can throw this axe and hit almost anything with it.

Name: Jinuske Izuko (It's Japanese, so Jinuske is his family name and Izuko is his first name)

Gender: Male

Birth date / Death date: March 3, 1783 - October 26, 1814 (31 years old)

Appearance: Standing at an even six feet and with a strong muscled body, Izuko is a rather intimidating man. It also helps that his face is hidden behind a black grimacing samurai mask that only reveals his mouth and dark brown eyes. His black hair is tied back in a short pony tail. He has long since abandoned the clothes of his time and wears a black suit with no tie and the jacket unbuttoned. The top button of his white dress shirt is also undone. His gray jacket is actually in the form of a cloth sash around his waist that holds his two swords, which are partially hidden by his suit jacket.

Background: Izuko was born into a samurai family and as such was trained in their ways since an extremely young age. At the age of fifteen he entered the service of one of the daimyo, the feudal lords of the Edo period. Unfortunately for Izuko, only months after he pledged his loyalty the daimyo was poisoned in his sleep. Since his lord was killed Izuko was expected to commit seppuku, but at such a young age he couldn't bring himself to do it and fled to pursue the life of a ronin, a master-less samurai. He spent the next sixteen years of his life as a mercenary of sorts, selling his skills to whoever could pay. During those years he made many enemies but few friends, since he kept to himself and never stayed in the same place for too long.

It was on a brisk autumn day that he payed the price for his nomadic lifestyle when a group of bandits ambushed him while he was traveling between towns. The bandits had somehow acquired a flintlock firearm and Izuko's right arm was crippled before the battle even began. He only lasted a few seconds and the bandits attacked with no remorse. As his life ebbed away and he began to enter the veil, Death appeared and offered Izuko the Deal.

Terms of the Deal: Furious that he died in such a dishonorable way, Izuko vowed to serve Death as long as the bandits who killed him met a quick and untimely death. Death proposed that Izuko serve for fifty years for each bandit that would die and he accepted without hesitation. All ten of the bandits involved in Izuko's death died the next day in a horrible fire, and Izuko's 500 years of service began.

Weapons of Choice/Talents: Izuko wields a samurai's weapons of choice; the daisho, which consists of a katana and a wakizashi. He is very skilled with both of his weapons, although he is more proficient with his katana. Izuko is also skilled in wielding both of his weapons at once with his katana in his right hand and his wakizashi held with a reverse grip in his left. Those who saw him fight with this style while he was alive called it the Dance of the Dead.

((RMB Reenters the Game))

Name: Frederick Dubois

Gender: Male (looks a little feminine though.)

Birth date / Death date: Sept. 1967 / Feb. 1993

Appearance: 6'5", roughly 150 lb, skinny(too skinny for his height at least), golden blond hair and light blue eyes. His gray jacket looks something like an old western duster, with holsters for guns on his belt.

Background: Born during the late 60's and early 70's in America, his mother was an old hippie and his father was a WWII vet and even at his age, fought in 'Nam. Frederick was fascinated with the guns that his father brought back from his war days. He would spend time polishing and taking them apart, often to the chagrin of his father. Later in his life, he would live on his own and set up his own antique gun racks. Collecting rare pieces from WWI and WWII, even from 'Nam. His favorites being an old Single Action Army revolver and an M1 Garand(?). During his time collecting, a lone robber entered his home while he was with a licensed antiques dealer. In attempt to steal the collection, the robber killed the dealer and mortally wounded Frederick.

Terms of the Deal: On his last few moments, Death showed up and offered him a deal. To give his father 30 more years of life in exchange for becoming an agent. Of course he accepted.

Weapons of Choice/Talents: Both of his old Single Action Army pistols. He couldn't help but at least test them while he was keeping them in good condition. He has become particularly adept at reloading them quickly and gets a rush when he has to do it quickly, either doing it himself or using a speed reloader. Also his WWII M1 Garand he's not too skilled at and prefers his revolvers to the bulky rifle, but can still reload it quickly. The only real talent? Fast Reload with his chosen weapons.

((Gods, I've had this opened since this morning and I still haven't finished it. Sorry if some of it doesn't make sense. I'm in a lot of pain right now and I'll edit it if editing needs to be redone. At least after I get my pain pills after my root canal.))

EDIT: Due to some ideas I had, I'm going to change Maxwell's Background and Deal later tommorow

Name: Maxwell 'May' Browning

Gender: Male, although his nickname would make you think otherwise

Birth date / Death date: 1908 - 1936 (28 years old)

Appearance: Maxwell stands at 6'3 feet tall, has light brown hair, and is in fairly good shape. His 'gray Jacket' takes the form of a hunting vest, complete with a camouflage pattern and a black sweater underneath it, and he also wears a pair of light brown cargo pants.

Background: Maxwell was born in the Appalachia region in Virginia. It was here that he was taught how to track and hunt at a young age, being trained well in using a rifle and an arrow.

Although he lived an OK life in the mountains, Maxwell was generally displeased with the quiet life in the country. So despite the Depression, he packed what few things he had and moved to New England, where he got a job as a hired gun for rum runners who were shipping alcohol around the coast. Maxwell managed to have success for himself there and lived a more exciting life as he had wanted before. Unfortunately, this excitement meant the end for him when the crew were caught by police in the middle of a trip back while on water. Despite any skills he had from hunting, he wasn't able to pull his trigger fast enough, and was shot first.

While Maxwell may have earned some respect from his friends and crew mates for his efficiency in work, he would never win any awards for penmanship. This is how he got the nickname 'May', after he messed writing the 'x', and made it appear more like a 'y'. It stuck with him to his death, and even afterward.

Terms of the Deal: After Maxwell was shot on the boat, Death came to him in his final moments while he was bleeding on the ground. He agreed to become an agent if Death would kill the police officers, and saved his friends. Death complied, and so did Maxwell.

Weapons of Choice/Talents: His preferred weapon is a Mosin-Nagant with a scope. Otherwise, he enjoys using his recurve hunting bow that he had with him back in Virginia.

Notes(Optional): Due to his experience in hunting, Maxwell is a decent tracker, and he is very patient.

It’s been awhile since I’ve flexed my character creation nazi muscles, so I may be a bit rusty.

Hawk:Mostly good. The only problem is the knife. If it’s not a “weapon of choice”, then you can’t take it with you if you go into the Veil. If you want to keep it, you’d have to go back and pick it up whenever you came out of the Veil…which would be a problem, as most of the long distance travel Agents do is in the Veil.

Dauntasa: Looks good, but you didn’t define what your gray jacket was.

AB: Looks good.

rapter200: Your from a little farther back than I would like, but I didn’t place any limitations, so I’ll let it slide. What I can’t let slide, however, is that you are sporting 4 weapons, when I put down a limit of three. Sure, technically, you can claim your hand-axes are one weapon, but I can also say that you are technically cheating as you even gave them separate names. Also, lose the “cut to many plates of strongest steel” weapons…that is, unless you can find me a real-world axe somewhere that can cut “many plates” of steel. Weapons of choice are strong against what Agents hunt, not real-world materials.

Arcanum: I’m surprised it took us this many characters to get a samurai. Looks good.

Red Mage Black: Don’t worry, it makes enough sense. Approved.

Bard: The only real problem with your character is your Terms of the Deal. Death is…well…Death. He doesn’t have that much sway in getting people sent to jail. He’s method of making people “pay” is more along the lines of “okay, your dead”, rather than “okay, that guy is going to jail”. Or you could go and revise it…that works, too.

Well, he's revising it so it doesn't really matter, but couldn't Death frame someone for murder? I mean, if the deal was that he get sent to jail.
