Since When Did The YouTube Symphony Orchestra Start Doing Chrono Cross Tunes?
Scars Of Time
So I haven't been following the YTSO at all, but I have looked into DocJazz and BenChan, and they're, for lack of a better term, f***ing awesome. DocJazz does a bunch of video game stuff, while BenChan - who's very informative - does a lot of cool stuff. So I'm getting one of these pretty soon, as soon as they order it in - they didn't have any in pink - I was hoping to practice a little. To tell the truth, I did quit the violin because I didn't like practicing - though in my defense, I do a lot better playing by ear and practicing that than I do reading music. Playing by ear - at least to me - is a much better style because I can usually pick out where I'm going wrong and work on that. Anyway, I was thinking that it would be cool to do something with NPF - showcase our stuff. I know Tahr and Prophet play guitar, there's probably some pianists, Fenris could throw down, heck - we could have our very own NPF band, complete with dancers if anyone feels the urge. I'm out of practice, but I think it would be if NPF did something collaboratively. Anyways, check out BenChan - who's got some Bleach, Okami, Lestat and Full Metal Alchemist under his belt. DocJazz does a lot of classical, but he's also got a lot of Zelda tunes, some Metal Gear Solid and the like. Last edited by Seil; 01-19-2010 at 08:39 PM. |

Seil, would you actually be willing to put some cash out for a Violin?
http://www.tedbrewerviolins.com/violins/index.php I mean, c'mon... i would mind learning on one of these Honestly, and this is just crazy-talk in my head... if i knew how to make games i would totally want you guys to compose the soundtrack. Not just because i like the instruments you guys play and music you like, but because you guys know good game music. |

Sorry, I'm shelling out for a cheap student violin. And even if I could go for a shiny, new, electric violin, I'd shell out for one of these.
The Squidolin, or the Fender FV-1. They're pretty sexy. Last edited by Seil; 01-19-2010 at 09:09 PM. |

Is it legal to marry a musical instrument, yet?

Having said thus, that Scars of Time is pretty awesome and I didn't know they collaborated like that. I've seen that guy work with the ocarina before but didn't know about that vid. Very cool.

I just love his expression. It conveys so much that can't be expressed in words.
