Jamie Foxx And Bruce Willis Are Part Of Kane And Lynch Movie
Link
The question is why actors like Willis and Foxx want to put their names on this thing. Think about the last video game movie - Max Payne! Remember how that turned out?! |

...Kane and Lynch?
Seriously?! It's not the fact that it's a bad concept. No really, a doped up madman that has hallucinations is all that the series had. Rather than make a NEW Freedom Fighters game, they decide to make a game that's subpar. How can this get any worse? |

Great, so not only are people making horrible movies out of great games and completely bastardising those franchises, but now they're making movies out of terrible games in what I can only imagine is an attempt to make a movie that's "so bad it's mediocre."
Still on the flip side, at least this can't exactly piss off the fanbase because, er, there isn't one for Kane and Lynch, nor can they really bastardise it, because hardly anyone even remembers it, so they can pretty much do whatever they want with it I suppose. So either Hollywod just got a lot dumber, or a lot smarter. I'm honestly unsure which.

I dunno, the article claims Bruce Willis called it one of the best action movie scripts he had ever read, and this is the guy who did Diehard and Pulp Fiction. I mean yeah, Kane and Lynch was a terrible game, but maybe this is one of the cases where it goes so deep into the bad zone that it goes around and becomes good again.
I guess what I'm saying is that it can't really get any worse. |

If it gets more than one person fired from their job because of a review, it can.

Since they'll be changing EVERYTHING about it, it might actually turn out good! But probably not.
I gave up all hope on these things after the aforementioned Max Payne, if you can't make a good movie out of that, it's not going to happen. They didn't have to change anything, but they decided to change 95% of the plot, remove most of the major characters, and make a side character who was in the game for five minutes the main villain. So there isn't really any chance for these things in such a climate. EDIT: Also, Jamie Foxx? There is your first major change, since either Kane or Lynch is now going to be African American. Which also makes this into a Buddy Cop/Criminal Movie. Bruce Willis was just part of a bad one of those. I think the odds on this being good are reaching deep into the abysses beneath the ocean.
