Default Breaking Bad Season 3

Anyone keeping up on this awesome, awesome show? Season 3 premiered this passing Sunday on AMC. My only criticism is that it doesn't seem like it will be quite as funny as it used to be.

Well, Walter grew the beard, it is inevitable that humor would fall to the wayside after that happened.

Also this was nowhere near as exciting as last season's season premiere, which was utterly insane in a good way, though with the arrival of the twins I think stuff is going to heat up nicely. And on the dramatic side of things, the big reveal to Skyler has set that in motion, in combination with Jesse's continued emotional guilt and duress.

It's going to be a good season.

By the way, they seem to have basically either totally ignored Hank's panic attacks or else it was retconned by being ignored. I have no idea if that is going to come into play again or what, since him working in El Paso seemed to go no where and disappeared after the IED attack. I'm just saying it seems unlikely that they would carry over story arcs into the new season like that, although it would be refreshing if a series did carry story arcs over multiple seasons.

Hank hasn't been out in the field since the middle part of the last season. He probably has no cause for the panic attacks at moment, and certainly not when he's helping Walt move. This show is incredibly well written though, so I wouldn't be surprised if they came back to it.

I thought it was a very good episode for the show to return on. I agree it wasn't perhaps as dramatic as last seasons opener but I thought the school gym scene was awesome, and the introduction of the Twins was teasing enough to make me thoroughly interested in what's to come.

Christ, that last episode man. Christ.

Walt's life is reaching "A Serious Man" level of bleakness. Damn. Jesse's life is looking up though. Poor kid needed a break.

Anyway, what about that final scene? I mean, that was just one hell of a scene.

Also, Saul Goodman was back. Yay.

Loving this season.

Pretty great ending, in combination with the return of Tuco's paraplegic uncle who is entertaining as always (what?). The only question now is does Bryan Cranston win a third Emmy or will they tire of giving them to him?
