Interst thread for a One Piece set Pirate RP

Personally I rather like the setting and think it would make for alot of interesting character ideas. It would not be taking place or have much continuity with the series, and every single character will be original that you come across. But the island world with fruit that grants superhuman powers will be used. The RP itself will be centered around a crew that just entered the grand line, and will be more about adventuring with various plot arcs then a single over arcing theme with each character having their own ultimate goal. Ability wise all I really care about is keeping power level relatively consistant, between devil fruits, bizaar techniques, and unique weapons you can pretty much do whatever the hell you want.

So anyone interested in setting sail?

I'm interested in seeing how you've grown in the years since I've played in one of your games, Aero. I'll consider playing. Though, are you cool with making up non-Devil Fruit abilities, like those possessed by the Skypiea guys or by CP9? Not that I have any ideas yet, but I'd like to know how limited I am before I start.

yes, though powers on that level I'd prefer you not fully developing at the start, but I'll definitely allow them. Just have them be rough work in progress abilities then fully mastered skills. In fact I encourage developing them as they will be your characters main method of growth.

I'd be interested in trying it out. I'm not too current on One Piece, but it seems like it will different enough for me to pick up on quickly.

The world is now in a great age of piracy. Twenty years ago, Gold Roger, the pirate who had amassed all the riches the world has to offer and became the King of the Pirates, was captured and executed publicly. His final words spurned on this age of exploration "My treasure is there for those who want it, I left it all in one peice" Now there are more pirates and crews than you can shake a stick at and all of them are vyng to be the next king.

IN the world of one peice, there are two main oceans, and one strip of land circling the whole globe at an angle, seperating them. Cutting right through this strip of land is, basically, the equator, Also known as the Grand Line, the roughest sea in the world and the place where the One Peice is said to lie. In the grand line, there are trees which grow magical fruits known as Devil Fruits, the origins of them are unknown(Unless they revealed them recently) but there are many legends, what IS known, is that when someone eats one, they gain Fantastic powers, but can never swim again.
