New Star Wars: TOR trailer
I played a (very) little bit of the first star wars MMO to come out and after that train wreck I wasn't too sure if Star Wars could lend itself to the genre, but damned if BioWare isn't doing their best to change my mind.
Also, that trooper has balls of steel. |

New? That's an E3 trailer bro.
It's also pre-rendered, which isn't terribly interesting. Imagine all the time they could have spent making the game itself better! |

Err, okay, I didn't make myself too clear there in retrospect. Obviously this is prerendered, but more what I was getting at was that BioWare's keen sense for what makes Star Wars tick is really beginning to impress me. I mean, they DO have all that experience with the franchise they got working on the KOTOR series, but I'd say there's more cool "star warsy" stuff in just this trailer and the one from last year than there was in most of the prequel trilogy put together.
If I were George Lucas I don't know how I'd feel about someone else beating me with my own intellectual property. |

I think if you gave a dog the resources George Lucas had something better would come out of it.
However, I'm pretty pumped for Old Republic too. Bioware gets a free shot with me, even after that whole Dragon Age...........................thing. |
