Justified
So, I recently sat down and watched the first season of this show called Justified. It's about a US Marshall from Kentucky, who doesn't want to be in Kentucky, but gets sent there as punishment for a shooting.
Watch the first episode. If the showdown in the first 5 minutes doesn't get your attention the you are probably a deaf mute.

My dad and I watch that show all the time. It's a good example of genre-splicing and the second season has been going pretty well so far.
