Euro symbol, wherefore art thou?

Well, where?

To elaborate: I cannot seem to produce the symbol for European currency (Euro) in this forum. Normally I produce it by pressing Alt Gr + E; an alternative way of doing so is, I hear, Ctrl+Alt+E. So far, so good. Both of these combinations do bring the symbol in question on my screen, but only while my text is still in the box for writing text in. As soon as I actually post, all Euro symbol goodness is replaced by a question mark that I swear laughs at me maliciously.

All the more puzzling is that fellow member Osterbaum obviously can, if he feels like it, happily fill pages with the symbol no problem and gloat about it (I believe he does, too

)

I mean, I'd wager it's my keyboard driver, but eh? Ideas?

Try AltGr+5...

Not on the numeric-pad but above the keys with the letters (What's up with Gr in AltGr? I don't get it.)

Nope, doesn't work. Neither with AltGr nor with Ctrl/Alt.

The really weird thing is that I can produce it in Word and Notepad and stuff and even when I type my text in here; only when it goes from my PC to the forum does it get screwed up.

Perhaps, though, a new driver is in order.

Ironically, I had closed it at the very exact same time as you and it reopened. So I had to re-close it.
