Default Tracking down an old story.

Help the new kid out, won't you?

I used to read 8-bit at some point around 10 years ago. And as is common on the Internet got distracted by a link from the site that wasn't directly related to the comic. It might've been a forum post here, or a link off to another site, I can't remember.

Anyway, I'm trying to find a story that I linked to FROM here somewhere, and don't have too much to go on.

It's a super hero story, written in first person. The protagonist is an everyman turned super sort of guy. He has a weakness to really bright lights. Another character was able to jump back in time to help save people, and it aged him as he did it.

The part of the story that sticks out in my mind is a point where the heroes are stuck in some sort of time loop paradox.

I remember it was written in episodic format, and for some reason I keep thinking the page I was reading it from was a black background with red text.

I'd like to give it another read, or at least identify what it was.

Does this ring a bell for anyone?

I know what you're talking about is what Brian's book Nuklear Age is based on (or is a print publishing of?). It was posted on the old nuklearpower site. I don't know if it still exists outside the wayback machine. I'm too drunk to feel like looking for it any more, but you have all my leads if you would like to pursue them.

OK thanks, it's a start! One of those things that's been bugging me over the years.

I remember it, and I remember the whole story being tragic in general. Marvelous Bob was its name. It would have been linked by Brian, it was written by a friend of his. The domain's been taken down, but it's on the wayback machine - http://UnknownHero.com

Sadly the writer, Micheal Buonauro, committed suicide in 2004 - his parents have set up a foundation and seem to have been working on getting the story published as a graphic novel: http://michaelbuonaurofoundation.com/

Wow thanks. That makes me sad about Micheal. His creativity really stuck with me.

That'd be awesome if it came out as a graphic novel.
