Tales of Symphonia

Hi all.

Not sure if there's been a topic on this game here yet but I haven't seen one.

Anyway what'd you guys think of it?

I mean personally I LOVE it. About 46 hours into it, and while I've finished the story (at 44hr), there's still a bit left to do.

Anyway I wanted to know what you guys thought.

oh, man, are there even words to describe it? my best friend owns tales, and personally, after he brought it over i lost interest in the other 3-4 games i am working on right now. Tales of Symphonia has got to be the best game so far this year, and probably since Ocarina of Time or PSO.

i'm not quite sure how many hours we have logged, but we are still on the first disc. we just got the power to warp between worlds last time we played (last week) he says he hasn't played since then. anyone nkow if we are newhere close to second disc?

Well, to anwser your first question, there has been a topic about this game. You can find it here . I was the one that had orginally set up that thread , under a friend's account.

This is a great game, a RPG for a system the really needed one. I really liked the battle system, Chaotic if your didnt know how to play but extremely fun once your got the hang of it. A fairly good story that I thought got way better at the end. Beat it at 50 hours and almost have everthing else done around 60 hours now. Wont be long til I start over.

I agree with all the above post. My only beef is the voice acting is kinda cheesy and they always have the same facial expresions. "The desians killed my mom!!! *smile smile*"

yeah, but all that aside, it is a great game.

I'm planning to rent Tales of Symphonia some time soon and possibly buy later. I just really hope GCN gets some more nice RPGs before its lifespan runs dry.

I've been busy getting my class junk figured out, so I haven't gotten to play further into it, but what I've played so far rocks. One of the best RPGs I've played in a long time.

Pretty solid voice cast too.

I hear there is a multiplayer option for this game? I just was informed of this earlier today by one of my roommates via e-mail. Should I assume it's kind of like Crystal Chronicles? Perhaps I should just poke my nose in some reviews.

STEPS FOR MULTI-PLAYER

1. Press Y.

2. Go to Techs.

3. Select Character.

4. Change "Auto" to Either "Semi-Suto" or "manual".

Viola, multiplayer. Character positions = controler ports, IE, the second character down is controled by the second controler, the third down is controled by the third controler, etc.

Y'all should read the instruction booklet. Ahh, who am I kidding, no one reads that stuff.

I read the instruction booklet for every game I get, is that so wrong? I plan on getting this game soon, which for me means around Christmas. I just got Morrowind, so that should eat up the time quite nicely.
