Default Most powerful character in tactics

I just read the thread about everybodies favorite final fantasy games and i decided that it would be interesting to see what everyone thought the ideal character in final fantasy tactics would be.
personally i've found my claculator/black mage to be the strongest and most influential character in any battle. He is master calculator and a master black mage, he uses autopotion, magicattackup, and move+2(he doesn't have teleport yet). He carries the items that will help boost his magic attack the most (magic gaunlet etc.) and he is currently only lv 60, but i'm working on em
Oh, and he is a black mage with math skill as his secondary because 1)black mage has highest default magic attack of all classes 2) calculators are stupidly slow.

My most powerful one would be Cid on hyperdrive with Two-Swords, Teleport, and Blade Grasp. I don't even really need his secondary ability at this point. Give him a Chaos Blade and an Excalibur and he whoomps butt badly.

Not to mention I actually spent 2-5 hours every single day this past summer playing this game...

Original FFT on PSX

- T.G. Cid Equipped with Reflect Mail, Dracula Mantle, Excalibur & Chaos Blade, Diamond Helm (I think that's the best helm, I honestly don't remember. all I know is I had the best helm and armor I could buy) and lv 99 (made him get most of his levels while being a Mime to maximize stats). He is simply untouchable.

Yes, Cid is the most powerful character. Yet most people never use the calculator because he is so hard to get. I've destroyed every single foe (and some allies) on the map on my calculators first turn before. Honestly, you should try using one! THeres only one catch, as a calculator they are EXTREMELY slow so i had ramza continuely yell at him to he could move like a normal character. He masters pretty fast though. They can also revive2 most of your allies at any time (and reraise) or use holy or flare on most enemies. Anyway, try one. They're Great!

I never use calculators much, but they were pretty cool.

I used a leveled up/down cid a lot. Uber equipment and stats. level up as a mime/ninja/monk level down as a calculator and you will have a net gain in stats. It was pretty sick.

Lucas is an unknown quantity at this point.

Cid isn't the strongest character :P he's the most offensively annoying character. The best character is agrias or meliadoul, because they simply have the best of orlandu's sword techs (stasis sword, heaven's explosion, any item breaker), but can equip chantage and never die.

I used Agrias and had her lightning stab enimies.
Also, i found being level 99 sucks because monsters have tremendous stat growth and were killing my characters in 3 hits.

Yeah, for me it's a tie between Cid with an Excalibur and a Chaos Blade along with his All Swords ability (I think that's what it's called) and a Black Mage/Calculator. While Cid is better against one single enemy, the BM/Calc would be better for random battles if he/she has every spell.

Hmm... I'm gonna have to say Orlandu with an Excalibur and Math Skill. Complete ownage with Math Skill and CT5Holy is great. In the rare event that you come up against something immune to Holy or with low Faith, All Swordskill crushes it.
