Mainly a TV actor (Doctor Who) and a few other shows and movies, but hey... Toby was somewhat unknown before spidey too.

So, what you guys think? Can noobie pull it off? Also his neck is huge.

Oh, nice. He was pretty good in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. I'd much prefer him over some of the others (esp. Lerman or Hutcherson).

He made a terrible Eddy Brock because he was made to play an emotionally unstable Peter Parker. I really think he would make a good Pete because he very much came across as a Peter Parker who didn't get hugged enough, so, Add hugs, Good Spider-man.
Plus, he has the voice I always imagine Spider-man having.

If I recall correctly (though I probably am not), Topher really sounds like the Peter Parker from the 1994 Spider-Man cartoon.

If it was between those two, I'd have chosen Topher as well. He at least has decent sitcom banter chops (and his character on 70's Show is basically Parker anyway) while you can sometimes literally measure the mopiness in Tobey's quips.

And if we can't have Donald Glover, can we at least get a Mary Jane played by Allison Brie?
