Comic Con: Disney Trailers (Pirates4 & Tron) & Mythbusters
There's a thread on the Thor stuff, but other Comic Con stuff has come to light. Some of it I did actually get to see while I was at Comic Con. Other stuff, I missed. Thought I'd share what I've collected so far.
Later on, maybe Sunday. I might talk about some of the panels I went to. Not that I'm the best resource. I'm a horrible writer about this sort of thing, and you'll likely be better off looking elsewhere. Here's the brief clip they showed @ Comic Con for Pirates 4. Here's the clip for Tron Legacy. Neither of which I got to see live, despite being at Comic Con. Getting into Hall H (they area they play the trailers) is pretty much an all day affair & not worth it to me (when there's all sort of other neat stuff going on & you can't tell if a trailer is worth your time, until after you've seen it). Regarding stuff that appeared at Comic-Con, I highly recommend you check out the Mythbusters's panel on Youtube. Yes, on most uploads the footage from the next season has been cut out, but its fun all the same. Plus, they talked about most of what was shown anyway. Here's a link to Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5. Haven't spotted anything on the Green Lantern footage (one site had audio briefly up), but I'll keep poking around.

I'm gettin' there.
Just checked out the Tron Legacy and Pirates 4 trailer. Will check out other stuff later.
On Tron: I'm so revved up on this I can hardly stand it. The trailer itself is a bit too reveal-y for my tastes - nothing I didn't half expect, but there are some things that a movie should probably leave as half-surprises for narrative that the trailer just doesn't. The theater trailer is much better in that regard. Still, it can't dampen my enthusiasm! On Pirates: Well, the series ended, and I was happy with it doing so. The first movie was great, the second grea-* , and the third was okay, and at least it ended the series decently. To my mind, the Pirates series had over-reached, and attempted to tie the narrative of the first movie (poorly) with the second and third, which, themselves weren't greatly paced, but it was enjoyable and over. I heard of the fourth movie and wasn't interested. Then I watched a simple teaser trailer of Johnny Depp sitting there as Jack Sparrow. Now I'm going to have to watch it (unless it looks lame). So, apparently that trailer was effective in its simplicity.

Watch the clip, it at least sounds promising. Besides, this movie won't have Will & Elizabeth's romance dragging it down. It'll just be Sparrow & Barbosa going for the Fountain of Youth.
The problem with 2 & 3, was that things got too complicated. 4, seems like it might be a more like what Pirates 1 was. SWB

Barbossa is getting back eh? That's disappointing. I saw the ending of At World's End as Jack cutting loose from all the weight he'd accumulated, giving up on the Pearl and everything. If there were any more movies, I thought, no characters or plots from the other ones would have to be carried over. Captain Jack Sparrow works best with people who don't know him too well to be impressed by his mythology.
Old Viking saying: It's misfortune to own a pretty thing grasped after by many.

Do you know nothing of Captain Jack Sparrow?
This movie will be great if it focus's on Jack, Barbossa, their rivalry over the pearl, and their quest for immortality. It should end pretty much in the exact place it began, and with a hook for another sequel, but not a set up for another "epic" arc.

Yeah the last two 'Pirates' weren't good. I mean, yeah acting and action was fine (and ONLY fine) but they were just really weak stories and even the FX were laughable at times. I'm not excited about a fourth film at all.
Tron looks rad though.
