"Battleship: The Movie" or "Yes, this is a real thing"
By Milton Bradley. And Liam Neeson.
Quick summary for those of you not in a position to see the trailer: The main character (a hot-blooded navy prodigy) is dating the daughter of Liam Neeson (no-nonsense admiral). Some shit goes down, main character gets CHEWED OUT, and then right before he gets fired or something, they find - oh shit - ALIENS. The humans can only shoot one target at a time because, y'know, alien shields. The alien projectiles are colored pegs. I shit you not. Rihanna's gonna be in it too apparently. As many of my friends would say, "I'd sink my battleship into that."

The more I think about just how utterly ridiculous this movie is, the more excited I get about it.
Like it seems to be trying too hard to be one of those "So bad it's good" movies, but at the same time the attempt at trying too hard is more hialrious than anything else. |

I'm pretty sure I made a post about how such a movie would go a long time ago.
If they stole my idea I'm gonna have to press charges.

There will be no minesweeper movie! No movie could possibly capture the depth and elegance of minesweeper in two hours!

All I'm saying is they've got a good track record so far.*
Dudes. This is Milton Bradley. Making a movie. I'm watching it.
I take it none of you guys've ever seen Clue? Best. Board-game. Movie. Ever. Much better than some other movie I could mention based on a board game. I give it even odds. *No, I'm not confusing Milton Bradley with Parker Brothers. Milton Bradley has a FAR superior track record to another game company: Wizards of the Coast. None is, in fact, far better than anything WotC has officially published.
