Thanks for all the gun advice! I don't expect this comic to be 100% accurate, but that's okay so long as it's fun to read. But I'd like to know the rules to an extent at least, that way I know what I'm breaking.
It's more of a Kit thing than a devikin thing, actually.

Ara ara!

Pronounced 'zam-by-ahh'
With a cool wit like that, Kit could be an action hero.
Unfortunately that zambire was all "You are huge! That means you have huge guts!" even though you'd have to be delusional to think such a thing. Stupid zambires...

Of course, in a world where zambires are a reasonable thing to run into, it might be quite likely that Kit doesn't know what the dreadful does and/or has no particular reason to like or dislike the effect.

I guess now is the perfect time for Kid to get a sneaking suspicion that those are not regular zombies.

You'd hope so
I should put in some regular zombies so I can contrast them... I figure regular zombies in The Dreadful would look more decayed, and be unable to do anything aside from shuffle around and bite stuff. Sorta like the zombies from Resident Evil 1-3. These creatures I think of more like the "zombies" from Resident Evil 4-5. Only perhaps w/ less social skills. If a zombie can be said to have social skills.

Obviously this is Kit's first time encountering Japanese zombies.

She was at the beginning of the chapter...though it was a flashback.

You know, this is now bugging me: For someone extolling the virtues of education, Kit's sister got her grammar wrong. Fewer jokes, not less!
