Arcadia: Making Enemies

A faint whisp of smoke from the hill top, a few errant burst of light. From the town below the melee seemed like a forest fire, no one payed much attention.

Police helicopters had been dispatched from the central Genokan Government building a few miles away, their orders were to maintain a safe distance until ordered otherwise.

Ocisi had the information relayed to him automatically, a brief moment of inhuman insight. His conscious and unconsdious minds had their hands full, at the moment.

The combabtants circled each other warily, no more witty remarks or boasts, just tension, dire consequences for any mistake, death hung from a string between the two of them.

Ocius recovered to a knee, shaking his head as if it the gesture would help. A few feet behind him was a wounded man in a slowly congealing pool of blood, his blade still stuck inside the man like a grotesque christmas candle.

Zinx could see Ocius getting up woozily from his position, he hurried to assess the damage dealt to his newfound companion, he stold as many glances of the two armored men as he could, trying to discern a pattern of weakness in stance, should he ever have to fight either of them.

Pistol drawn, Caleb made his way up the dark metallic steps towards the top of the control tower. Every breath was a conscious decision, every step was planned, he couldn't afford to slip up right now. He was a ghost still breathing. The top came into view.

Fae could feel the heat radiating from Annorals body, the wound was closing but not fast enough, she diverted her efforts from her own wound to assist her winged companion. "I'm not sure this whole thing was a good idea, but I'm happy nonetheless" she smiled warmly, a smile so alien in this place of death that Annoral felt a tear evaporate from his eye. The steam hissed for a brief second, the only indication of his emotion.

"I'm going to end this right now, whatever happens, get out of here alive."

and with that he stood.

A shot rang from behind him, atop the main complex the rifle screamed. In a motion as fluent as any dance choreography, he reached behind him without looking, plucking the speeding pellet from the air. He could taste the acrid flavor of fear coming from the rifleman, he looked at the bullet in his palm.

Though distorted, he could make out three small letters etched into the side of it.

F A E

And there was a flurry of wings, and a heat so fierce fae could smell her own hair burning, and Annoral was airborn.

Still quite drained from his last attack Ocius slowly turned and half crawled over to the body and grasped the hilt of his sword. Leaning heavily at first he tried in vain to dislodge it. After a few more unsuccesfull attempts he just fell backwards still tightly gripping the hilt. With the sicking sound only metal scrapping on bone and sliding past can make it slid free pulled by his weight as he pitched backward. Freeing itself of it's temporary prison the sword clanked loudly as it slid out of his hand and along the corspe to the pavement. Drained to the point of not being able to even kneel again Ocius lay half in and half out of the slowly drying pool of blood. At that moment one sole thought drifted slowly through the haze in his mind; This blood is going to be a bitch to get out of my cloths.

[Just a quick headsup. Incoming Gen choppers, mop this up quickly.] That is, before they decide to nuke the site...

Ocisi waited for Shinsei to make the first move, readying his spread beam, beam sword, and charging the grav-boost engines. Never hurts to be too prepared.

Zinx stood over Oscius for a moment looking at his wounds and shaking his head. He bent down motioning the sword toward him with his telekenisis, figuring the stolen automatic would run out of bullets soon, and thinking he would need something else when it did. "I hope you don't mind me borrowing this." He whispered to Oscius before standing up and staring at his two opponents, sizing them up.

OOC: Funka if you could redescribe the two armored men for me.

ooc: I'm not really all that injured I just over extended myself by using my power to do a really cool anime like sword move.

Ocius recoverd slightly again and motioned to Zinx. "You can borrow that but only if you prop me up against a wall. Laying on the ground is fun but I'd rather see the action." He gave a weak smile and tried to pull himself up again.

"No problem." Zinx said bending down and putting one of Ocius's arm around him he lifted him and walked over to a wall. Leaning him against the wall, Zinx said "I'll make sure its a show you won't forget."

Chuckling Zinx turned around readying the sword in his left hand, and his nearly empty automatic in his left. "Who wants to go first?"

ooc: one of the armored men in Ocisi, the tac suit assault officer. The other is Shinsei, Zaiban mercenary operative.

Ocius is pretty shaken up, but he'll be ok in a few hours, should he live that long.

Caleb is chasing down Dr. Murdo, he's at the top of the control tower right now.

Annoral, who shall be played by me for the time being (Myst is taking an internet vacation of some sort) is on his way to confront the sniper, Fae is more or less patched up, and there is a rather large man in a heap in front of her. Fae is just a few meters away from Ocius and Zinx, they can see her now. Also, she can see them. Might be a good opportunity for introductions?

I'll post an update as soon as I see what Calebs up to.

The swordsman made a quick movement to his left, obscuring half his body. In the same second he had produced a small knife which he threw towards Ocisi. With a quick flick of his energy blade Ocisi redirected its trajectory to miss harmlessly. In this time Shinsei had vanished from his position.

Ocisi rolled out of the way just in time to dodge the killing blow coming from his rear. Being two places at once was a pretty nifty trick.

The large man who had been knocked out by Annoral rose to his feet. He seemed to be uninjured despite the vicious blows he'd received moments ago. Fae was on her feet by now, her gunshot wound completely healed.

ooc: lets try to get everyone to reply before I post again, that way I know for sure what everyone wants to do.

Ocisi spun after Shinsei's attack, and made a feint with the sword, immediately following up with a blast from the beam gun. The shotgun-like nature of the weapon had a very good chance of a hit, unless the bastard had moved out of the way. Again.

"Get back down." Fae was holding a small fireball to the back of the man. "Or do you want to feel the heat again? And give me your weapon." She saw the other men battling eachother. "Who are those men?"
