This forum's purpose. [from: Dead Topic Repository]

The reason this forum exists is to house topics which are either closed or have not been posted in for the past 30 days. The topics are left open in case discussion is to spring anew within, which is why the search feature should be used. The end result for this is to keep other forums more clean.

I will be mass moving topics once a week, unless my other moderator friends wish to help me out as these situations arise. If there are any questions direct them to me, as this was my idea.

Not affected by this forum are roleplay topics. They have their own dead forum. New topics are unable to be posted in here.

The forum is now "post-by-moderation." If you reply to a thread, your post won't show up until a moderator has approved it. This is done to cut down on spammy thread bumpings and on the number of warnings we have to give out.

So, wait. Does "left open" refer only to those topics left unclosed, or are closed threads moved here and then opened?

Closed threads are not being reopened. I meant the dead topics which have gone a month without reply will remain open.

Allow me a question for my better understanding:

If we posters are interested in some topic, search for prior topics that may have discussed it or been related, and find one in this section -- if it is not a locked thread, but merely an aging/deceased thread, we may attempt to rejuvinate the topic by posting in it again? If so, will it re-appear in the other sections?

Or are these ALL meant to stay here and dead?

I'm sorry if I am having trouble understanding what should be a simple idea.

You may post in the topics in this forum which are not closed. If such a post is made, then the topic will be restored to it's previous forum as it no longer is considered dead.

Thanks for helping me understand.

That seems like quite a bit of extra work on your collective part [as mods]. I must extend my thanks for the effort and for the dedication to keeping the fora "clean."

Thank you. We do it all because we are slowly draining your life force over a prolongued period of time and we have to sometimes do things to keep you distracted.
