Well, hopefully should be able to avoid the pitfalls of that sort of delay in the future. I had hoped to get a post up sooner but I let myself get sidelined.
I'm happy to finally pull off the prism bomb. Been sitting on that idea for quite some time now. I do like to have everyone brought to multiple climaxes in boss battles. Now I'm wanting you to all blind me with your genius for reducing the impact of that blast. I doubt anyone's getting out of that unscathed. On the plus side no need to worry about the following any more: sun rays, sand vortexes, plants (though the Caryatid may animate them again) and, of course, the sandstorm. Hopefully we'll be seeing some nice player team ups - the end is close now.

Well, simce I'm already prone on the ground, I wouldn't really be pushed back any, or would the wings catch it, and allow some lift to occur for flight?
Either way, my Firestorm spell was intrupted, and nullified.

Crap, I was stupid enough to eat them, wasn't I? So what does the poison do when ingested by what is, for the sake of this argument, a compost heap assisted by nannites? Oh, and since the nannites are now inside Syttulg rather than outside him, I should probably get around to changing my character sheet and skills list to reflect this, there being things he can no longer do, and there being things he can do now that he couldn't do before.

In an explosion like that, knockback is the least of your worries Flare. Actually, if memory serves, aren't you still buried up to the neck from a blow from an angry universe? That could make evasion of certain nasty explosions difficult...
Why the same effect poison always has Newb! Spasms of pain, weakening, dramatic coughing, partial paralysis and, in extreme cases, death.

Yes, its that time of boss battles that everyone enjoys, the hammer them with attacks to finish them off time! Mmmm, coordinated strikes.
I have to say, I was dissapointed with that means of reducing the explosion's effect Hawk. Aside from that, just a few minor stylistic issues - something feels wrong about fusing sand together and the Caryatid has a much bigger repetoire than just flinging sand about the place. Rocks for example.

I'm feeling uninspired somehow, so if anyone has anything they'd like Rei to do or respond to, let me know.

As for the pure sand attacks, I wanted to emphasise the struggle between wind and earth, with both parties pushing against and trying to overwhelm the other. Kind of like how you see fire and ice always being used in continous beams or flame-thrower type attacks against one-another. With earth the only way was with sand. Quote:

I also had something I wanted to do from the beginning of the fight, that being using earthquake on the rock lady. I'm kinda hoping it works.
And yes, team-ups! Let's see a few! Skyshot is a team player, when he can find a team! Quote:
