Star Wars RP Part 1

[Forever Zero]

The basic freighter that had transported them there was landed and cooled down behind them. The array of Jedi and Mercenaries were scattered about the thick grass under the ship, some talking, others just observing or thinking.

Zeth was on of the ones observing. They were on a small hill on the lush forest planet of Melloron 2, on their first mission away from the Jedi Academy. He could still remember the mission briefing...

The ancient Jedi Master, an old human who was so old and wrinkled it hid his face, his white hair coming down to his back, and leaning on a metal cane, addressed the group of young Jedi. "We are all very impressed with your quick rises within our order, and are proud to have all of you as the next generation of Jedi. As memebers of the order, we will give you tasks to fulfill until we officially make you all Jedi Knights and you can go in search of your own apprentices. Now, your first mission is a band of pirates and raiders have taken up a position in the Melloron system. The Melloronians on Melloron 3 do not have a very strong military, and are a very peaceful culture, so they have requested our aid. You task is to head to the Pirate base on Melloron 2, and put an end to these attacks. Catch the pirates responsible for this if possible, and bring them to justice. We will be sending you with a team of mercenaries that have worked with us in the past, and who will help you with things you may be less experienced with."

Zeth shook off his feeling. He wore the plain brown robe of a Jedi, with a black shirt and pants on underneath, and he brought back around the gaze of his red, glowing eyes. He said, "Alright, you are the experts on this mission, what is our first objective in our mission to wipe out the pirates?"

[Rhuhael]

The Defel looked up, not that you could really tell, his black armor shifting with him.
"Well obviously the first objective is to find the base. Then once that's done we have to case the joint. We need to know what kind of weaponry, guards, complex, size of force we're dealing with. Until then we can't take any action at all. Also does anyone know about their diplomatic status? One of us could go in and discuss purchasing some items from them and while doing such get an inside look. I'm pretty sure that they'd suspect a defel so I'm unsure if I can be much more help than military backup and stealth." He said twirling the base of his lightsaber.

Jack powered up the transport vehicle for the group. He was the best pilot of the group and had volunteered to use this. He moved it out into the open field and turned on the comm unit. "Alright everyone, get in." He wasn't exactly the most civilized Jedi, but he was a good asset for his abilities as a pilot.

[Lycanthrope]

Hal Norov stood apart from the rest. He was a hired gun, here. He had always liked and admired the Jedi order, emulated their stoicism, their ways, even their favored weapon. But, unfortunately, he had next to no talent with the force. Perhaps, he possessed some of their natural intuition (though not enough to be effective at deflecting a blaster pulse), his abilities stoped short of moving things with his mind and the other magic tricks the order pulled. Where they trained with a nigh mystical force, he had trained himself, mastering weapons through long hours of practice and years of experiance. And it had yeilded results: he had mastered most light firearms, could could fight almost as well with a lightsaber as a jedi, and was free to live his own life free of responsibility. But... he couldn't help but envy them.

<Oh well...> he thought and borded the transport, taking his seat near the weapons pod (OOC: if there is a weapons pod on said transport. Which transport are we using, a Raptor, a Lambda, an "outrider" type, or a Rebel Transport type?) in case they had some unwanted company.

Calvin looked up at the group of people. It was kind of awkward, this was his first big mission and everyone was at least 2 feet taller than him. He boarded the craft cautiously and sat down. Come to think of it, he had never really been in an aircraft at all except when he was a child. One more thing to make him feel awkward.

[Stover]

Jason was sitting on a rock, cleaning his pistol. As he got up, he spoke into his com unit, permanatly attached to his glasses and right ear; "Come on, man, if you're going to take that tone of voice with that line, you at least need to make a power-slide or something. You know, style." He removed his tools from his weapon, spun it around his finger, holstered it, and walked towards the transport.

"Just get the hell in already. It's not like I'm doing this to show off." He didn't like these kind of people. Proud of everything they do and trying to show off whenever they could. He dismissed the thought as he remembered his training.

[Krylo]

Ghyslain's hands were deep in his pockets and his body was hunched over, as if he was trying to sink into his too-large coat. Truth be told, that's exactly what he was doing. He'd never been good with people, and there were too many people on this mission for his tastes. Although it wasn't a concious thought, he couldn't help but feel like one of them was going to beat him up, or ridicule him, or some other such thing, just like everybody else had before. It didn't help that even though he was seventeen, he didn't look much over 15. A kid. He seriously doubted anyone would even take him seriously.

Why am I even here? I guess I'm just scared... and the jedi offered to protect me from the syndicate if I helped them. They also offered pay... and I guess I need the money... but still... these people are so heavily armed, and... I hope there won't be trouble. I really dont' want to get caught... or shot... or...

Ghyslain became lost in his thoughts, and his pale face became even more-so as his body trembled. Jack's voice caused him to actually jump a bit as he was startled from his reverie, but once his mind had processed that he was simply being asked to board a transport, and not being shot at or tortured, he started to walk toward the transport quickly, muttering, "Ok," so quiet that was nearly inaudible.

Once on the transport vehicle he moved into the back and pulled out his datapad, a kind of compact computer, and began fiddling around... well, he was actually hacking into the personal computer of this planet's ruler, and reading about how he was dating his sister. His work calmed him, and he appeared quite relaxed in the back, but in the back of his mind he was just hoping that no one talked to him.

Laine Tinack slowly made her way onto the transport, not really paying the others much of mind. She found a seat slightly apart from the rest of the group.
She was still fairly new to the order, compaired to how long some of the others had been there. And even after being around them for the time that she had, she still wasn't completely used to people like them running around freely like they were. It's a big change from living on the planet of Dathomir to the mostly male dominated rest of the galaxy... even for an open-minded Dathomiri such as herself.
