I can understand trying to get people to understand one another, but making outright lies and shoving them down peoples throats?

well why not, thats how most treat racism. A non-white can use any racial slur he or she likes, but if you are white it suddenly becomes a big no no.

Besides all that, whites are the minority on a global scale. Plus what do you do with mixed race?

Now in my opinion, the very statement "all whites are racist" is inherantly racist. Note: not saying the poster of this topic is.

I just love how the statement itself is so hilariously racist, probably the result of a white person writing it.

Seriously, though, there's something fishy here. For one, the bulk of the statement describing all white people as racist in the first article is a quote within a quote, as if the idea itself is an example of an idea put forth by a hypothetical someone as an example of a racist falsehood. The sources providing the largest outcry aren't exactly neutral media outlets, from what I can tell, and until I get a look at the quotes in their original context, I'm not willing to pass judgment.

From the looks of it, they're using stuff worked up in the early top mid 90's for their definitions, at least. But, they're also using "This is a college course" definitions, not the normal vernacular ones. It makes a bit more sense when shown with the other definitions there.

Wether or not this was optional is still up in the air, though. I'm hearing reports saying that it was, and other reports saying that no, it was mandatory (or at least, people were compelled to go).
