The game looks great. It looks like it is full of promise and hope for the Sonic Series, and get rid of that awful taste that was Sonic 06...

Then I get to the part with the Wearwolf, hog thingamajig.

Look, if they give us half a good game, it'll still be better than anything they've churned out in recent years. I don't hold out much hope though.

I am utterly unimpressed. The regular Sonic part seems decent, if you like Sonic Adventure, but the Werewolf thing just looks silly and, more importantly, not fun.

Remember that, Sega? Fun? That thing your games are supposed to be???

They're too busy going for the people that haven't quite hit puberty. The tweenish gamers that really haven't gotten an idea of the awesome that was Sonic...

While 99% of the "Sonic Cycle" is correct, the "lack of friends in screen" as a "pro" for Sonic games deserves further clarification.
Tails and Knuckles are awesome and should be in every Sonic game. Seeing them in hypothetical screenshots would be a glorious occurance, assuming Tails isn't voiced by an absolutely abhorrent VA. (Dangerous assumption.)
All other "friends" not named Tails or Knuckles deserve to die.

I think that after this game is released they should give Sonic a rest for a while. Not only do they need to give their team a break, but if you put years before the release of another Sonic game, fans will likely warm up to it a bit more.

Man that Sonic cycle is truth...but I have to say I really enjoyed Sonic Rush. And I still hold hope for Sonic Chronicles even though I know it's probably not going to work out.

This game makes me sad...

e: Setheris, I've actually wanted a fan to take something even as simple as flash or something, make a fan sonic game, if only to say to Sega "Hey look, your fans know what the fuck they're doing."

I was a nintendo man my entire life but even I know that sonic the hedgehog was incredibly fun.

But once it got past Sonic and Knuckles I was done. I saw how sonic was starting to go and I knew I had to escape as quickly as possible.
