You guys are somewhat cruel...
Anyway I'll need some time to write down what you want and would use some more accurate description of how is the battlefield arranged(any trees or other obstacles? distances to cover? random stuff nobody else cares about, but I actually might do?). |

There doesn't need to be too much detail. You can take some creative license in objects and materials in the vicinity as long as its within reason.
The current layout of the battlefield as of my last post is something like... Mithik, Ariosto, and the Venurian officers are standing in the clearing (mostly well-trotten earth and shorter grasses with some medium-growth trees) between the outer buildings of the Monastery grounds and the main Temple. The monks were also in this clearing, closer to the Temple (about 100 feet between the two parties). The elites have since charged the monks, killed most of them, and are moving closer to the Temple (another 100 feet away) where more monks can be found. They're approaching the south side of the Temple. Kenshurian troops (or whats left of them) have amassed and are moving in on the Venurians from the southwest corner of the Temple (~80-100 feet). The Kenshurian heroes (Penn, Loki, Vincent, Amelia) and the few soldiers with them are approaching from the southwest, they're about 500 feet away from the outer Monastery perimeter (which includes buildings like living quarters, storehouses, and other accommodations). Between the perimeter and the Kenshurians, the group of Venurian hunters have amassed and are preparing to engage the horseys. All told the Kenshurian heroes are about 1000 feet away from the Temple itself. As far as terrain goes, most of the area is well kept by the monks, so you're looking at mostly shorter grasses and relatively flat terrain. The Kenshurian plains (where the heroes are) have slow, rolling hills. There's trees here and there that provide ample shade. Farm fields to the north and northwest, and one of the tributaries of the Great River to the southeast (the southeastern most buildings of the Monastery are only ~50 feet from the river shore). |

I'm at work so I can't exactly save a file for you all to gander at so here we go;
Basic Character List (in order of sign-up) Name: Loki Swordforger Nation: The Circle K Description: Young dwarf fighter/blacksmith with red hair and green eyes. Uses two hammers. Super-best-friends with the ranger Penn ala Gimli and Legolas. Skills: Melee VII Shapeshifting V Name: Ariosto Cantare, simply Ari once you get to know him. Nation: The Big V Description: The word ‘psychopath’ is thrown around a lot when talking about Venurians, if Ari were a psychopath, why, he’d be the sanest of the bunch. A consummate sadist with more tricks up his sleeve then a team of David Blaines. Skills: Enchantment VII Conjuration V Name: Enrik Tolbasi, “The Crucifier” Nation: V for Violence Description: The word ‘psychopath’ is thrown around a lot when talking about the Venurians but by the gods this man is insane. The bad kind. A passionless soldier off the battlefield but a merciless killer on it, Enrik is a very, very, very bad man. He has a special penchant for crucifying his enemies…. A bad bad man. Skills: Melee IV Elementalism (air specifically) II Conjuration II Name: Iarann O’Clochanna Nation: Kinda Kenshurian Description: An old mercenary dwarf who may or may not have disappeared off the face of the RP. An old battle-axe who uses a battle-axe in battle…. (Hmm… probably coulda worded that better, something about darkness maybe.) His ties to Kenshura are loose and might be pried with a bit o’ gold. Skills: Melee VIII Name: Vincent Runeheim , “The Voice”, Vince Nation: Avelia > Kenshuria –but- Avelia Kenshuria –so it all works out- Description: The kindest man of all Kenshuria haunted by his recent actions, the war has taken its toll on the once pure soul of this fine Kenshurian priest. What will the final cost of this war be? Skills: Healing XII Name: Kay Marshall Nation: Very Venurian Description: A healer disgusted by healing, would prefer to shoot men dead then patch them up. Her allies would rather she do that as well. Skills: Range III Healing: IV Melee: I Name: Penn Balthiere Nation: Kenshurian! Desription: The son of two great figures of Kenshurian legacy, a warrior’s and healer’s mantle have long sat atop his shoulders. Though for a keen eyed ranger he long thought his dwarven friend was just a short man. Skills: Melee V Ranged IV Healing III Name: Graeme Oakhill Nation: Kenshurian Knight Description: A Long Patrolman who was but a novice at the beginning of the war but with the addition of his newfound scars is a wealth of experience. A fine warrior who weighs all his actions carefully, especially in battle. Skills: Melee X Ranged II Name: Torin Kavos Nation: Kinda Kenshurian Description: A scrappier Kenshurian would be hard to find, if pressed to fight Torin fights back hard. A street-smart Mercenary who carries a blade with no intention to use it. Skills: VI Elementalism II Name: Threm Murir Nation: Valiant Venurian Description: A weakling of a gargoyle (in the sense that gargoyles can come weak), who with determination worked his way into the Venurian ranks. Quick, with a sharp eye and talent for the bow he is still as dangerous as any of the ‘strong’ gargoyles out there. Skills: Ranged III Conjuration III Shapeshifting I I'll have my post up soon, I think I'll attack some Venurians.

I'm not feeling really good...
I can't come up with writing more than two or three sentences, and they usually don't fit a person I want to see/RP Threm as... Even though I'm about to get stabbed with what I'm supposed to do... |

The advice on writing I've been getting all year has been "lower your standards and keep on writing". It's what Pulitzer Prize winners do, so you should probably try it. Even if it means writing for a few hours till you find the threm you want.
Anywho I should have a Loki post up sometime tomorrow or perhaps later than that if I have to lower my standards.

If you need or experience extended absences, I'll be happy to take care of your character so you can return at your leisure. The downside is I might not take your character in the direction you had planned, but I try to do my best.
Also kudos to Mime for the PC list. I think it helps me more than anything, but you guys can refer to it if you start fighting other PCs. Mintaro - if I read your post correctly, you attacked Kay (Trienam's gal), right? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to bypass the hunters and reach the officers, but that's probably my fault in explanation. If you think of Mithik and Ariosto as being the "center" of this battle, north of them there's the other Venurian PCs attacking the remaining Kenshurians that were stationed at the temple. Then south of them are Venurian hunters mounting a defense against the Kenshurian PCs approaching from Midgaard. And THEN there's Venurian elites moving east of them to assault the main Temple and the rest of the monks. Maybe that clears things up more. Last edited by Azisien; 09-16-2008 at 11:04 AM. |

I'm fairly proud of that post, despite my unfamiliarity with fighting on horseback. Although as I was writing it I realized how outnumbered we really are with all those elites there and the monks unable to do the slightest elementalism.... You just love to remind us we're the underdogs don't you Azi.
Although now that we're going to the Monk location I feel kinda bad we lost Ishva. Imagine the horror of this event from the eyes of a fellow monk. Oh well.

I believe I already fixed the afore mentioned error. I was confused because you mentioned them attacking a group of nine Kenshurians. And our party happens to add up to nine. But yeah I think my post is all better.
