I approve of that idea. I'm just not sure how you'd effectively improve Pokebrids or Snatchers (mainly Snatchers)

Perhaps snatchers could get improved balls? Like, your standard does damage and paralyzes. Maybe you could get balls that do different amounts of damage, different status effect. Maybe something that catches with a delay of, say, one turn.
Pokebrids... I'm not sure, actually. Perhaps they could get specialized items to carry into battle. Or the duration of their paradigm shift is just increased. Or they just get stats. Same for trainers. Maybe their pokemon get stats, maybe an improved movepool. If AB was willing to go through ideas, maybe there could be custom TMs. There shouldn't be too much potential for over-poweredness, since AB controls what each attack does in battle. And for slayers... weapons, I guess. Maybe stats as well, quicker actions, more accurate fire, stronger attacks. I also asked about weapons that'd have effects like screech and flash, but it's really more profitable using elemental weapons. Perhaps there could instead be items that'd have those secondary effects, and they'd fill up space in the slayer's inventory. But anyway, just thoughts and suggestions. |

Oh god... Now Pierce is using Sunny Day, making my Magnezone rather useless according to AB's morale rule. >_< God...
EDIT: It seems that there is a new rule that I didn't know about. That pokemon can use a move upon being summoned until of having to wait a turn like ingame. (Garus sending Jynx and using Perish Song.) Either that or all Jynx did was take Mamoswine's turn. Last edited by Menarker; 02-19-2010 at 10:39 AM. |

Man, I am such a dick.
But I dunno, I don't think a little sun should affect Magnezone that much. Lower morale? Sure. Could hesitate, maybe even disobey orders? Okay. But I don't think it'd have to return to the pokeball unless they were, like, fighting in a volcano. Or if Heatran decided to jump on the roof. Better to have a useless meatshield than none at all, ya know? EDIT: Also, Mamoswine used Blizzard, remember? Oh yeah, and should I take out another pokemon to even the odds? He'd have one and I'd have three?

Oh, missed that. But I can't send Umbreon because of that fighting move that Electrivre had (and Togekiss would be mostly useless in this situation). If you could switch to Skarmory or return your pokemon (except for Tyranitar who could use Protect), I could use Earth Power when Swampert finishes Outrage and hit all four of his pokemon for hard ground type damage... well, except that sooner or later, Swampert is going to be confused due to Outrage.
And better to return my precious meatshield and send it back at a better time than to have it faint and not be available at the most cruical moment. EDIT: Anyhow, the best tactic we can do is to kill off all of Garus's pokemon first, so he can't summon anymore. Evananglee's pokemon would be all that's left and I could hit them all for heavy damage. Alternatively, if she feels ignored by that tactic, my character could "negotiate" that she and I take our battle seperate from you guys and thus get rid of all the "Either I accidently kill Pierce's pokemon or he kills my first" thing. Umbreon would be better than nothing. Tyranitar took two super effective moves and kept going. Umbreon can take a hit.
Also, you're gonna hate me for bringing this to your attention, but have you noticed what Magnezone's Magnet Pull does?

Yes, it keeps steel type pokemon from retreating except Magnezone, thus preventing them from switching out at the most cruical moment. Also, the reason why Tyranitar lasted so much was because sandstorm boosts the special defense of rock type pokemon by 50% (on top of being a psuedo legendary) which raised its Spec Def to 150ish, higher than Umbreon. (Of course, now that you got rid of Sandstorm, Tyranitar might eat dirt next round.)

Oh, so it doesn't actually affect the pokemon that has it?
Anyway, hey, I could always edit out Blaziken using Sunny Day, and then we can edit these posts into a conversation about marshmallows before AB notices.

It doesn't effect the pokemon that uses it. ^^
Anyhow, we could do that. :3 Magnezone could use Flash Cannon on Jynx then, which is steel type move (which ice is weak against). Also, I'm noticing that according to the bulbapedia, Stone Edge should be hitting your blaziken and my pokemon too... as well as Eva's pokemon. EDIT: Overheat also hits all other pokemon (which would faint my Magnezone instead of just anguish). Deleted my post so I/we could think about this... I've got another turn before Outrage ends, so I had Blaziken use Overheat.
Actually, I think Stone Edge and Overheat are both single-target.
