"Magnezone... You did well."
Renny looked at the empty spot, with a slight bit of regret, but the support it provided had been incredible. He stared a bit hard at the owner of the Luxray, but her sudden emotion swing to excitement was somehow contagious. Only a little. "Swampert, you're up now! Earth Power that Jolteon! Umbreon, Confuse Ray on Luxray. Let's keep it from attacking! Buy me a little time!" Swampert's feet oozed with water as it skidded across the roof toward the weakened lightning pokemon, large quantities of stone and dirt coming apart and directed retributively with all the force of a landslide, battering the pokemon. Umbreon's eyes wandered over to Luxray and emitted a instant beam of dark light infused with her dark power, subjucating the offending pokemon to mental confusion. ------------------------------ Swampert uses Earth Power. Swampert gains STAB bonus so that increases it power by 1.5 (and it was pretty strong to begin with). Jolteon weak against Ground type move for another double damage. (Assuming it hits) Frolass takes ANOTHER round of Toxic damage which had increased in power from the last one. Umbreon uses Confuse Ray on Luxray. Now it got to worry about sandstorm/hail/confuse-ray/paralyzed. Man, it got a crappy chance to attack. 50% chance to botch a will save for confusion and if THAT works, 25% chance to miss a fortitude roll for paralysis. Swampert take a bit of damage from hail while Umbreon takes damage from both hail and sandstorm. Lucky it got one of the healthiest hp pool of all pokemon. "Keep going Pike, you aren't finished yet," Charlotte yelled at the dog. Pike didn't intend on giving up, with or without Charlotte's anger. Without being commanded, he immediately readied another ice fang. He was going to latch on to Roserade, but Charlotte quickly stopped him. "No you fool," Charlotte shouted, "go for the Cacturne, you are already poisoned, so you are the better cnidate to handle the destiny bond!"
Pike was a angry. Who was she to reprimand him for holding a grudge? Nevertheless, Pike knew he would have to listen to her. The fact that she was still being logical stood to imply that she was still awhile away from some violent burst of psychosis. As long as he followed her instructions, he was safe. Ignoring the unsteady and sickly feeling the poison gave him, Pike turned around mid attack an launched himself toward the Cacturne and chomped down. He was ready to take one for the team. "Spitz, use an iron tail on the Roserade, and don't get hit by a poison attack," she ordered. There was a definite tone of anger in her tone, almost as though she blamed the Mightyena for the loss of Pike soon to come. Spitz did nothing but let out a brief growl of acknowledgment towards his master. Getting ready to pounce, Spitz tail suddenly turned an odd shade of silver, and it made a quick spin at the Roserade, swinging his tail right toward his unfortunate foe's face. Impact grinned briefly in relief. He had heard that the girl's motivations for going half-breed had been cosmetic and had felt horribly queasy at the thought, but it seemed she was good for something after all. He thought better of attacking Cacturne, considering that Pike was ready to take the Destiny Bond's consequences, so he moved a few steps away from battle (the extra distance didn't matter to his aim, but it'd be harder to hit him with a physical move), switched to the LH launcher (also reloaded, he noted, courtesy of Princess), targeted the Roserade, made a quick adjustment to his weapon and fired. Pressure was still at maximum, but he had set spread to a hair above minimum. This meant that the bursts fired from the weapon weren't solid beams, but slowly-widening cones. Most of the Hydrogen hit Roserade, but since he had aimed at limbs and head (surface area and vital spots were important when using this gun, you wanted to drop the enemy's body temperature as quickly as possible) some of the LH went past the pokemon and diffused in the area that contained her trainer. This didn't do much. The quantity had been low, and it had diffused in the air, not hit Shannon directly. What it was powerful enough to do was to drop the air temperature around the trainer by a significant chunk. The effect wouldn't last for long, but (Impact hoped) it might just discourage Shannon's next pick for them to buy time and control the situation. He had an X-special he wanted to administer.

Battle 1 Synopsis (Main Entrance): Poliwrath downed by Matthias's Psychic. Moon replaces with Kingdra. Cacturne down by Pike. Pike downed by Cacturne. Reminds me of that scene where two boxers sock each other solidly in the face at the exact same time and knock each other down. Shannon replaces Cacturne with Jumpluff. Roserade's Ability Poison Point poisons Spitz. Roserade uses Synthesis to heal herself. Jumpluff goes out of attack range as the first part of Bounce. Kingdra ups its Attack and Speed with Dragon Dance. Lanturn hits Matthias with Thunder. Impact hits Roserade, damaging and freezing her. What Impact's weapon does to Shannon is more or less just inappropriate fanservice because Impact's a pedobear.
Poliwrath shuddered violently under the mental assault, then his arms dropped uselessly to his sides, he fell to his knees, and vanished into energy that fled into Moon's Pokéball. Moon whistled at the impressive hit and then fished out another Pokéball. Up next was Kingdra. Kingdra (Water/Dragon Type) [Male] Moves: Dragon Pulse / Hydro Pump / Brine / Dragon Dance Ability: Sniper Cacturne went down, and Pike went down with it, Ice Fang still sunk into Cacturne's face. The Pokémon turned into one glob of energy and separated, then returned to the Pokéballs. A quick check revealed that nothing strange happened. Each trainer got their correct Pokémon returned to them. Shannon, tongue licking her lips, tossed a Pokéball to replace Cacturne. This one was Jumpluff. Jumpluff (Grass/Flying Type) [Female] Moves: Giga Drain / Bounce / SolarBeam / Energy Ball Ability: Leaf Guard Roserade survived the Iron Tail, and her Poison Point ensured that Spitz wasn't getting away with that easily. Instead of attacking, Roserade decided to insult Spitz by using Synthesis, healing herself to near-full health. Kingdra increased his attack and speed with Dragon Dance. Jumpluff flew up and was out of range. Someone was going to take a Bounce. Matthias was distracted by Lanturn's Thunder, which stung like hell and left him smoking a bit, but otherwise able to keep pressing on. Then Impact did something naughty. Roserade was hurt considerably by the LH Launcher and frozen solid. And if anyone looked closely, they would have noticed that Shannon's nipples had also hardened. She was wearing a dark green short-sleeve belly sweater, so it took some effort for someone to notice the change. ----- Battle 2 Synopsis (Roof): Crystalith (Glaceon) is hurt, but still going strong. Lambdavolt (Jolteon) is similarly injured, but less so and is willing to continue the fight. Froslass is very weak, but manages Confuse Ray onto Swampert. Luxray defeats itself. Evangaleen deploys Ampharos. Lambdavolt and Ampharos take Skarmory out of the sky with Thunder, and paralyze it to boot. Crystalith uses Iron Tail on Tyranitar for decent damage. Rachel joins the party temporarily. Tyranitar and Skarmory tag slashed Crystalith, sending it tumbling towards the edge of the roof. A little shaky, but Crystalith rose back to its paws. This display of toughness alone proved that the Eeveelutions each trainer had were going to be the toughest of all. Froslass's poisoned status had nearly ran its full course, leaving the ghost with a tiny sliver of health. She wasn't going to get anything more than a Confuse Ray that struck and confused Swampert after it hit Lambdavolt. Luxray gives itself a firm bite on its forelegs, then falls on its side after being blasted by both the sandstorm and the hail. Evangaleen sighed and fished out another Pokéball. With Electivire, Magnezone, and Luxray all down, she was down to only three, including Lambdavolt. A goofy-looking yellow Pokémon appeared at Evangaleen's side. The scouters identified the Ampharos for Renny and Pierce. Ampharos (Lighting Type) [Female] Moves: Thunder / Focus Punch / Fire Punch / Power Gem Ability: Static Skarmory shrieked as both Lamdavolt and Ampharos grounded the steel bird with a double helping of Thunder. Skarmory tried to take flight, but its wings were suddenly difficult to move. Those damn electric Pokémon paralyzed it! Crystalith lept forward and slashed Tyranitar across the chest with Iron Tail, causing the latter to tumble a bit but maintain balance. Rachel quickly ascended to the roof and got close enough for both Renny and Pierce to appear. "Princess is in da hizzouse," Rachel reported with light humor. "Need support?" ----- Battle 3 Synopsis (Parking Lot): Rapidash and Camerupt are hit by Rakald's Blizzard. Rapidash is frozen. Flashburn (Flareon) cures Rapidash with Fire Blast, which can melt frozen Pokémon. Camerupt hits Charizard and Rakald for good damage with another Eruption. Rapidash and Camerupt shivered violently and resisted the icy winds and frozen shards of solid water that blasted them. Still, they looked able to carry on despite the pain. Rapidash was frozen, so Bretton had Flashburn use Fire Blast to free Rapidash from the ice. Camerupt erupted again, scoring Rakald and Charizard with nothing too serious. ----- Battle 4 Synopsis (Reception): Something bad is happening here...something really bad. Hector and Angelo stood around in the reception room with the Rogue Pokémon Machamp and Rhyperior. Angelo busied himself with shuffling cards. Hector looked tense. "Relax, Hector, you're starting to annoy me with all that pacing." "Can we really not go out there, man?" Hector asked anxiously. "Our friends are getting hammered." Angelo shrugged. "Not our call. Darcen gets what Darcen wants and Darcen wants that Pokémon Egg. And anyone can see why. An undiscovered Pokémon or its egg is worth a lot of money to the science community. I hear the local Pokémon professor named Ricewood shelled out an assload of cash to have that egg brought to her lab. We take that egg, and not only do we get that money, but we can easily demand double as a ransom. It's worth all this trouble, believe me." Hector stopped pacing and spread his arms uncertainly. "Yeah, I know but-" Something was clicking on the floor. And leaving a blood trail. The toothpick in Hector's mouth hung limply off of his lower lips and then fell noiselessly to the carpet. Angelo got off the wall and looked at him. "Hey, what's eating you?" Hector didn't say anything, so Angelo got a look at what had him frozen...and then he froze. It was low to the ground, the color of human flesh, with openings in its overstretched skin where one could see violet muscle and tendons. Several featureless black orbs that probably functioned like eyes dotted the "face" of this thing, but there was no pattern to the eye placement. Five bladed mandibles protruded from beneath that misshapen cluster of eyes. It had six limbs, each as long as the body was wide, and each ended in two curved hook-like claws. A long, narrow tail curled upward and ended with some kind of large fishfin like an afterthought. But despite the freakiness of the thing, there was only one crowning achievement that put Angelo and Hector on alert. Its mandibles, claws, and several places on its body were painted in blood. Human and Pokémon blood. And before Hector and Angelo's stunned faces, two more of the things emerged from the corner in the hallway that lead to the vault, both climbing across the walls. Both of those were also bloodied up, and a stream of blood slowly crept into view. "Narcham," the closest Pokémon exclaimed as Hector and Angelo reached for two Pokéballs each. "I don't think Darcen is-" Angelo breathed as Machamp and Rhyperior joined the dark and psychic trainers. "Just shut up, Angelo. I don't even want to think about that right now." Hector said through gritted teeth. The scene before them was so crazy that they didn't realize their scouters were no longer working. Those Pokémon were giving off magnetic fields similar to machine type Pokémon. Last edited by Astral Harmony; 02-24-2010 at 05:28 AM. |

Isaac was more than pissed off now, he had been just hit with a psychic attacks which in his books ment proof of cowardice. “You bastards think you can take me on with something I can't see. Well your wrong. Dead wrong” Now because he knew how Rhyperiors worked he had though that he would have to wait out this round, but something was wrong. He didn't need to rest, nope. Instead he could get right back into the fight immediately.
“Well this Paradigm shift is better than I thought, you guys just ran out of luck.” Isaac then fired off a final rock wrecker at the Ariados with the intent to kill. It was aimed at the poor things head. The Dusknoir was next, and Isaac is going to burn the mother fucker to kingdom come, and maybe add a rock wrecker in for good measure. |

"Skarmory, shake it off, you can do it!" Pierce called encouragingly. Skarmory struggled to stand upright, her wings twitching. At that moment, Rachel arrived on the roof. "Nice of you to finally get here. Skarmory is paralyzed and badly injured, and Tyranitar is also injured." He noted. Renny could tell her what ailed his pokemon separately.
"Hit that Glaceon again! Stone Edge, Steel Wing!" And once again, Tyranitar and Skarmory attacked Crystalith with the usual moves.

Renny's face shifted to a more jovial and excited expression when Rachel came up.
"Oh, I'm sure glad to see you doing well. My Magnezone can't fight right now. Took a huge beating. My other pokemon are doing pretty well otherwise. Could you help it?" Renny tossed a pokeball behind him, summoning the Magnezone for Rachel to attend to. Swampert looked dazed, but given how it had only been attacked once and had been chewing on Leftovers the entire time, Renny thought he looked like it was in good shape. Umbreon likewise has been snacking on the job and thus didn't look half as beaten by the weather as normal in addition to having not been hit yet. "Umbreon, Confuse Ray that sheep pokemon. Swampert, can you hear me? You can make it. Focus on the Ampharos with Earth Power." PERT!? Swampert dashed toward the sheep pokemon, creating the tidal wave of stone and dirt as Renny hoped that it could hold its focus the entire way through. Umbreon glared again with a sinister look of disdain, inflicting horrible mind-raping confusion on the electric sheep. "Rachel, I think we're nearly done with these trainers so perhaps we can get some polices here to secure them after?" ------------------ Swampert confused. Tries to do super-effective STAB Earth Power on Ampharos. EDIT: Forgot that it had Chesto Berry, not leftovers. *Stupid me* Umbreon use Confuse Ray on Ampharos. Leftovers to heal up every turn. Frolass takes yet ANOTHER further increased poison damage. Last edited by Menarker; 02-25-2010 at 12:34 AM. Reason: Error |

"Congratulations lady," Charlotte said to Shannon as she grabbed a pokeball from her coat, "you have pushed me to the edge." There was clear fury in her voice, and Spitz seemed to be more afriad of her than his own poisoning.
"Sol-leks, go now," Charloote said, releasing the Houndoom from the pokeball. Its fangs were showing, and it was snarling angrily. Its pure fury matched that of its master (intimidate). "Sol-leks, burn the Jumpluff alive, I don't want you using more than two attacks, now kill!" Sol-leks was noticeabley thrilled at the opportunity to fight. It let out one roudy howl towards the sky before aiming its head at the pitiable Jumpluff. With no hesitation or forewarning, A blast of fire burst from Sol-leks mouth and straight at the Jumpluff. The poor thing could at least be greatful that the Houndoom was holding back his Overheat at the moment. "Spitz, tear the Roserade apart, make it so that the healing never happend," she commanded. Spitz did his best to show no fear to his master. He made no sign of acknowlegment, he simply lunged at the frozen Roserade and prepared to chomp into with a Super Fang. It would be terrible for him if he showed Charlotte a sign of weakness when she was angry. "Do you truly want to continue," Charlotte asked tauntingly to the freezing trainer. "You can walk away right now and go to the police, none of your other pokemon will be hurt anymore," she said, with a brief nod of her head towards the blood-thirsty Sol-leks using a flame-thrower. Then she did something unexpected, she took a long step towards Shannon, a look of sadistic amusement in her eyes. "And if you're lucky, you won't be hurt either." Apparently, Charlotte was ready to skip the middle-man and jump straight to the source of her problem: Shannon. |

Matthias earned a small smirk of satisfaction which quickly vanished from the Thunder. He was getting really sick of that Lanturn. And it seemed that Kingdra was out to replace the Poliwrath and was preparing to take him down. His wings and fingers were still giving slight involuntary twitches from the lightning strike but he attempted to ignore it, keeping his wings in as steady a rhythm as possible as he marshaled himself for his counter. It was time to level the playing field a bit.
Well not exactly what I wanted but it will do. Paradigm Shift! |

Impact was torn between mild embarassment (at Shannon's reaction to the cold) and equally mild amusement (at Charlotte's apparent intentions to attack their enemy directly.) He spoke out loud for the first time, while repositioning himself. "You know, I wouldn't tempt her, my dear." He said to Shannon. "She might just attack you and to hell with the consequences. Your only hope would be that trainers don't carry weapons. Of course..." his hand suddenly flicked to his holster, pulling out the revolver he carried. He glanced down briefly, checking if it was secure, then he lobbed it towards Charlotte. "It's always possible to arm them." he grinned, gave both his enemy and his ally a nod, then lifted the LH thrower to his shoulder, and fired off several bursts at the Jumpluff. He had spent so much time speaking to allow Charlotte's Mightyena to finish its flame-thrower, since he didn't want to risk their elements interfering and cancelling each other out. He would have attacked (and finished off) the frozen Roserade, but Charlotte seemed to have plans for that, since Pike was only attacking with a super fang. The way he saw it, arming Charlotte was also a win-win scenario. Either she'd shoot Shannon, causing her pokemon to go rogue, in which case they'd make easy targets, or she'd simply threaten Shannon, distracting and possibly even intimidating her. In any case it wasn't going to harm him (if he was blamed for the incident he'd say that he'd assumed Charlotte was bluffing) and if things went well there'd be two fewer violent trainers in the world by the time this battle was finished. Meanwhile, he had aimed at jumpluff's centre, assuming that its various puffy growths would catch fire and hoping that he could freeze its centre solid and overload its metabolism with different extremes.
