Pokemon Umbral Discussion 15: The PCs Think Their GM Is Smart. That's a Laugh.

Okay, I don't know if Geminex's posted a strategy yet, because I'm not going to check, because I want to try.

So here goes:

Charlotte: Revive Spitz, Super Fang Mika's Juggernaut.
Shizuka: Attack Harpressor A.
Rachel: Revive Metagross, Zen Headbutt Harpressor A.
Rayleen: Deploy Salamence, Zen Headbutt Harpressor B.
Dormond: Signature Technique Snap Trap on what was previously Mika's Juggernaut.
Impact: Pull out Psychic rifle, attack Harpressor B.
Pierce: Revive Metagross, Zen headbutt Orbishriek B.
Pierce's personal: Attack Orbishriek B. If it's dead, attack Mika's Juggernaut.
Charlotte's personal: Attack Harpressors A & B. If they're dead, attack Mika's Juggernaut.
Kiyomi & Mika: Prep Hotwheel.

Another alternative for Dormond is to have him pull out of Paradigm Shift, turn to Zangoose and let Shadow Claw rip, but then we'd miss out on a perfectly good Signature Technique.

I want to take out at least two Harpressors this turn. Because with that many on the air we're just begging for them to swoop down, grab a bunch of us and let their friends rape the rest.

Now, I'm not sure if physical attacks like Zen Headbutt can hit flying enemies. If they can, cool. I'm assuming Shizuka can jump fifty feet into the air and slash some bitches if she has to.

Alternately, instead of Pierce's Metagross attacking Orbishriek B, he could pull out Nagarai and have her Draco Meteor up the Absorber's ass. Though I'd prefer to use Kingdra for that, since Nagarai only gets one free use of Draco Meteor and I'd rather save that for the Ruin General.

Ok, I don't have time to come up with anything at the moment, but I just want to quote a few things here:

Seriously, AB, this is probably going to be one of the only times that ability will be really, really useful. Do not deny us this, or, so help me, I'll tell mommy. And I'll tell everyone what a mean person you are.

Though I've realized a few other things:
1: Rayquaza got knocked out of the sky. Shouldn't it have used a testament drive?
2: Drac, in your plan above, you're talking about people hitting Mika's juggernaut, but make no mention of the enemy Juggernaut. You're aware that that still exists?
3: Technically, Impact still has the HV rifle as a medium weapon. Will AB let us switch without anyone wasting a turn?

AB: Whitney lost her Pokebrid Sync while still on her second turn. According to a past note, unused turns can be saved. Does that mean she is able to use Sync for one more turn, or did she lose it all on account of being knocked out while using it instead of turning it off voluntarily?

1: I think since we're not technically in battle with the Ruin General, legendaries don't get testament drive. Notice that none of our team's legendaries have force-deployed.
2: I'm perfectly aware it exists, I'm just concentrating on taking down one Juggernaut right now.
3: How the hell am I supposed to know what weapons you have? You never post them anywhere! Besides, maybe Impact took the time to switch between our battle with Shizuka and this battle.

Hey AB, do Absorbers work both ways? Like, can Lexhur use Steel-type moves against us?

Also, if we disable the Absorbers with Magnet Crush, would that make them easy to destroy? Like, say, one solid scythe-smash from Pierce or a shotgun blast from Charlotte could do one of 'em in?

Although I see your point, Gem. I think I'll have Dormond use Snap Trap on the Juggernaut that wasn't Mika's.

EDIT: Y'know, I'm not so sure Charlotte's Arcanine should've been downed so easily. Fire-types resist Ruin, after all. Unless maybe both the Raikners' hits were criticals.

AB already said in the first post of this thread that the orange text was indeed helpful. Whether it is his fave or preferred color is unknown. ^^:

AB: If a pokemon is asleep, is there any reason why it would be able to evade a low accuracy attack, such as Crawdaunt's Gulliotine for example? Not that Renny would ever order such a thing... just hypothtically... ^,^

Also, I thought of some changes to the Pokemon Breeder class which I'll post at a slightly later time. Might make things more simpler.
