Is it too much to ask
to have a hand to hold lips to kiss and a soul to bear my own to?

To the poem above
^
No, it is not a big ask And it is also not small To feel a loneliness And need another soul to hold |

^ to the two above (if I may)
but to find someone
willing to take proffered hand is the greatest task when the loneliness closes in. |

Stranger in a strange land.

A young, weathered face looks up at clear sky,
And quietly, plaintively, simply asks why It just keeps coming, without any end, No rest for him, so wounds never mend. A brief respite had been given to him, And he started to live life on a whim Until the clouds from the western shore Cut off the sun, to be seen no more. Now life is lived one day at a time, Keepin' the mem'ries deep in his mind, For all those good times he'd had with them Seem to be all the joy he'll have in the end. A young, weathered face looks up at dark sky, And quietly, plaintively, simply asks why. Author's note: Rest in Peace, Marc.

Sky standing still (v.2)
Sky standing still the orange and the blue ripples in the winds rains that fall on cue little twisting mirrors that reflect the sun fading whites and pastels morning just begun. Standing on the greens beneath the trees tall watching gleaming mirrors dive and loop and fall wind playing with my hair cool air against your skin yet the sky, it's standing still stirring things within. Watching the morning pass although she does not move she watches us with blue eyes she has something to prove that our time here, precious she won't urge us on linger in the silence and then, we'll move along.

Oh hi! :D

I found my old poetry book back in high school. Thought that some of these poems were worth posting. Kinda choppy, but here is one of them.
When trying to describe feelings Using words that are fleeting I will explain the best I can Using words within my span Ignorences is like a child Waiting to be heard Apathy is like a book Filled with empty words Passion is like a fire Burning from within Love is like a flower Blooming just to begin Heart-break is like a petal When the flower has died Sorrow is a dark cloud Covering up to hide Maybe emotions just can't be defined By other than what's felt inside. |

Desire
I can't save...
the day myself you what is love then? pain? pleasure? distraction? what do I want? happiness emotion you I want you more than this life, so wasted amongst the turning days. I desire you as nothing can, an impossibility of lust and longing. I want your soul on my lips, your beating heart singing to me in the night. I crave your touch more than air, or sustenance, or respect, or any other thing which has a word attached to it. were I able to, for one moment, leave all my inhibitions aside, I would tear you apart with passion. This love which burns me, which hurts so deep. so deep, so deep... This pain will afford no eloquence, it screams in basest tones. It is my beast, my burden, an awful curse. And I am yours completely, no questions. Nothing, save your skin and mine. I want you, as nothing can. |

Holy crap! What am I doing writing a poem?
An endless field
Cloaked in wild, red ash. Is there any way home?
