There's no way he wasn't affected by it at all, especially after his own father became a victim of it. Additionally, Uryu implied that he was full of shit. "...Then why did you design this hospital with this room & the Quincy Cross," or something like that. Lastly, Tite Kubo seems to have a thing for characters hiding treacherous motivations.

Of course, I only see it as a plausible possibility, not a definite probability. There's really nothing to say that Aizen will even die here. Putting all you have into an attack seems like it's just asking for it to not work.

because japanese are very tradition and family orientated and there is a huge differance between "no I want to be a doctor instead" and "I'll destroy ancient family heirlooms" also no one ever said he wasn't trained to be a quincy. Clearly just didn't like it

This is the guy who knowingly let his son go help the shinigami, and is implied to be friends with a shinigami, too. There's really no established reason he's suddenly go out for revenge or what-have-you.

By that logic, anyone could conceivably be the villain. Anyone could be "hiding some big scheme."

Besides, I just don't buy Ishida's dad becoming a bad guy unless it's so he can turn out to be a SECRET GOOD GUY later.

Ryuuken seems like a potential villain because he acts like a dick who's hiding something.

Ryuuken seems like an unlikely villain because he acts like he has a good relationship with Isshin.

Like I said, if Aizen's getting replaced, I'm banking on it having something to do with the King of Soul Society finding out about this nonsense & deciding to eliminate Ichigo &/or the remaining Gotei 13, for whatever reason.

From Ishida's conversation with his grandfather, it's obvious that Ryuuken has no interest in being a Quincy because it doesn't help him take care of his son, whereas running a hospital A. makes him enough money to take care of his son B. ensures that his son gets prompt medical attention if he gets himself hurt being reckless. C. Does not involve himself and his whole family risking their lives fighting soul-eating monsters when there's already a bunch of ghosts doing that who don't appreciate the help.

Honestly this is pretty obvious without grandad giving us all a big obvious hint.
