War Incarnate

As much as I would be willing to defend Dante from now until forever (and I have done so, in this very thread), even I'm impressed by those stats. I've never actually heard of this God Emperor, but it does sound like his powers far outmatch Dante here. As powerful as Dante is, he is still a melee combatant and therefore his abilities do have limits. He is not a god.
The only kind of characters I can really imagine fighting someone like the God Emperor would be an Omega level mutant like Pheonix, or any half decent reality warper.

Depends which version of Iron Man you mean, comics or movie. As far as comics Terry's definitely more maneuverable but it's hard to see anything he has doing much damage to the IM armor and Tony has a ridiculously higher level of technical mastery so he's inevitably going to EMP-pulse or remote-shutdown or whatever thing to Terry's suit and then Terry's kind of screwed. Movie version I think is still raw enough experience-wise that Terry could close in and take enough chunks out of his armor to bring him down before Iron Downey Jr. is able to blow out Terry's own technology.

I don't think anything less than the full Phoenix Force Cosmic Entity-empowered Jean Grey is gonna do a lot of damage here. The reality-warpers are a pretty tricky bunch in that their power can vary by pretty much whatever a given writer says it is at any given moment in time, so maybe.

Back to Terry vs. Tony, I think that it would come down to who was the better tactician. If I remember correctly, Terry's suit not only has various gadgets, but also enhances his speed and agility as well as strength, where Iron Man is more of a power house, but not as nimble. If Terry could use his speed to his advantage, I think he could at least do a good deal of damage, maybe even win if he could pinpoint a way to adequately damage Iron Man's armor. However, in a head-to-head brute battle, Iron Man wins hands down. Edit: Ninja'd to the wall by Fifth. >.<;

Goku vs Ultimecia
Because I mean, godly powers versus fricken' time compression.

Yeah, she had that time compression, but it didn't actually do too much for her in a fight. And honestly; she compressed time on what, one planet? That's so far below DBZ scale, it's not funny.

I would also contend that time compression was too ill explained to be able to use properly in a vs. disscussion. I mean, I love FFVIII and all, but any explanation i could give would really just be my own interpretation.
Also she couldn't just use time compression on the fly in a fight-type situation.

That's the like the whole point of the fight! You can explain nearly anything Ultimecia ever does with the phrase "time compression" and bam! She wins everything! |
